I mentioned that I left the women's aid group but I do have another Support Worker that I see on a regular basis. This is more one to one. She is not a counsellor and no-one has mentioned about me speaking to one either. I thought about going to relate but as you need to pay to go there and tbh with my financial mess as it is I can't really afford to do this.
Luckily I have a very understanding GP who is worth his weight in gold. At the moment I am sticking with the medication as it has only just been changed.
I work in a potentially violent enviroment but strangely enough felt more protected in that environment than in my home when I was with him. He hated me working there and demanded that I quit my job because it is a very male environment. Luckily I refused otherwise I would have been giving up the job that I love, and him knowing where I was 24/7.
Thank you for all the messages of support, it has encouraged me even more. I will try and look out for that book on Amazon or Ebay.:)Total debt £[STRIKE]37864.78 [/STRIKECOLOR=purple][STRIKE] £31681.03[/STRIKE] -£16700

Relate are great. They do offer some lower price sessions especially if you can make daytime. I know a lot of local (to me) domestic violence groups/charities that are superb and free! If you are happy to say here what area you live in, or PM me I am sure I can get you some info. Relate also have great books - from their site or amazon- starting over is a good one.
Can you tell this is kind of my line of work??;)LBM 10/08 £12510.74/0 -

Looks like you are really budgeting! You have nothing left to pay your debts though. If you can tweak the spending a little, you may be able to start tackling the debts. General rule of thumb, is hit the smallest debts hard first, or the ones with the highest interest rates. So I would focus on your npower debt...just to get rid of one, and then if the ApR's really are nothing for the rest hit on the Barclycard. However, in your SOA, it doesn't say how much you minimum repayments are for all the debts, so I really can't see how much room you have to move in all of this.burntfingers wrote: »Statement of Affairs and Personal Balance Sheet

The Old Style board has loads of cheap meal stuff for advice, and there is a board for cheap ideas for gifts etc.
I think you are doing brilliant.Pay off as much as you can in 2012 challenge No. 64: 328.75/2,5000 -
I am not sure as to how much APR's are on the other debts. Will put the minimum payments in when I get home as it was v. late last night thought it better to get it done and posted.
The clothes I don't really buy very much more on as and when basis. Ie boots falling apart etc. My son buys his own clothes and pays for his bus pass as he is entitled to EMA. He is a good lad and knows the situation although I sobbed so much telling him, I felt that I had let him down especially as I was a single mum for so many years and never was in this situation.
I am trying to have as many no spend days as possible. I do try and meal plan as much as possible but anyone with teenagers will know this is a struggle as you never know when they are in or out. When they are in they are starving!! It is very rare that I buy ready meals and always cook from scratch.
Have been looking at lovefoodhatewaste website for ideas. Luckily my son isn't too fussy just eats loads!Total debt £[STRIKE]37864.78 [/STRIKECOLOR=purple][STRIKE] £31681.03[/STRIKE] -£16700
