Oh NO!! Another phone call from Estate Agents, my buyer has just pulled out as he has been made redundant this morning.....:( it was nothing more than I expected to be honest after the viewing at the weekend....he brought his mother around and she was asking loads of questions etc.....he seemed a little disinterested although his brother was very enthusiastic I couldn't make up my mind it was because she was there or because he had lost interest. So it has come as no surprise really.....:(:(

That's getting beyond a joke now with this guy .... Was any paper work signed ? I know when mine was sold and they delayed by a few months the buyer was legally obliged to pay a kinda fine type thing .... Have heard of others that get this money paid to them till the house sells as it isn't the sellers fault

    Good luck with it all
  • Hiya

No, there wasn't any paperwork signed at all. He has messed about for 2 weeks trying to get the price reduced    by saying that the house prices were due to fall by 20% next month etc....and came back with an offer of £5k less than he previously offered...in the end I accepted £1k less than the original offer.

He has emailed the estate agents to advise that he went into work this morning and has been made redundant. In fairness it could be true, but on the other hand I just knew that something was amiss with the viewing on Saturday.:(

The estate agents had already told me to reduce the price of the house to £84,950 to attract more buyers, but in fact it has only led to lower prices. But when I told them this and said that I wanted it putting back up to the original price they refused saying that they couldn't do that..... am seriously thinking of getting in a cash for homes kinda place but don't know if they will offer even less....I got my mortgage statement which shows that with the early redemption charges I owe £65k, so with the £3k for the estate agents and then £500+ for solicitors this would leave me with around approx £16500 ish to repay the debts....whilst it would clear my car and a couple of the smaller ones..I will still have a large amount to clear...., and that is WHEN I can get hold of it as my solicitor has to do an undertaking until the finances are sorted out with regards to the divorce
