  • No - not on that amount

You would only make about £30 extra over the year so you would lose £70 net

    - its really of huge benefit to those with larger amounts to transfer in though....

Sorry if I got your hopes up

Not to worry, certainly something to worth thinking about once the debts gone :)

Got refused this morning on the phone (scottish call centre). Pretty curt reply "call back later" (which meant call back in the next tax year).

I'll take my chances with an organisation which has some manners.

Santander best-buy cash ISA closes early http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/banking/2010/03/santander-best-buy-cash-isa-closes-early

Looks like you can only get the 3.5% ISA via the phone now. It's too late to do it in branch or online.

We went into our local branch where the staff were flustered and said they had no time to process applications. They dialled the freephone number for us and we sat in the branch and went through the application over the 'phone with a lovely lady in Ireland. Both applications went through around midday today.

Can't understand why the branch didn't know that people would be coming in. Our accounts were 8 minutes and 5,500 account numbers apart. When we put down the 'phone there were 60 people holding in the queue.

The Santander website now advertises this ISA as being 3.2% AER (2.7% above the Bank of England base rate).

Is that not the rate for 10/11 and the rate for 09/10 is still 3% above for 12 months? or have they scrapped the latter altogether now?
