  • Superb Museum of Cornish Life in the centre of Helston in Cornwall, should be on this list for sure. It is a free museum of social and cultural Cornish history full of enticing displays, most of the collection on open display and very knowledgeable staff. They extend their warm welcome by being dog friendly, plenty of activities for kids and adults of all ages, and a self service pop-up cafe for a sit down and a nice cup of tea. Great to escape the hordes at the coast. Proper Cornish experience.

Open: Monday to Saturday 10-4 including bank holidays.

I am new to the forum so can’t post the link to their website but they are easy to find online and on socials @musecornishlife
