The Lancashire Police Museum, located in a wing of a former working prison within the historic Lancaster Castle, is FREE OF CHARGE but only open on Thursdays and Fridays (potentially some Saturdays too in the school Summer break but check first before attending). Great events and activities, especially during school half terms, etc. Groups can also pre-book a visit too. More info on their website. Sorry, as a forum newbie I cannot post the link yet.
