    Send in the bailiffs ?
    They will probably debit the card you registered with? :confused:

    You could well end up on a credit blacklist for the sake of a few pence. It has happened to me for a dispute over 99p.
    Being credit blacklisted could cause you a lot of hassle.

    Do their T&Cs give them continuous authority to debit your credit card?

    Their website also says the £5 cancellation charge applies if you close the account and have credit you wish to withdraw. But I won't want to withdraw credit when I've used up my balance - all i want to do is close the account and throw away the SIM card.

    As far as I can tell there's nothing to stop me using my £36 of calls then just emailing them to close my account.

    EDIT - The catch in their T&Cs appears to be that when you reach £0 on a dormant account they will charge you 75p, and after 3 days of not paying it they will suspend your account AND charge a REASONABLE fee for doing so. When you don't pay that fee they will terminate the agreement and commence proceedings. A bit like bank overdraft fees then - they bang you for a £25 admin fee if your account goes 75p overdrawn for more than 3 days.

    You can call cust. servs. and have the 'overdraft facility' disabled.

    I thought I read that if you overdraw they charge you the same £5 closure fee as if cancelled, if you don't settle up within a few days and the overdraft can only be up to a max of £10. As the poster above has mentioned I have opted out of the overdraft option by contacting customer services. I wouldn't take up the international option because I won't sign up for anything on continuous credit card.

    I, like you, interpreted cancelling when the balance is 0 will mean no cost.

    Just done that now so does that mean once I get too £0.00 they won't take anymore money from me as I intend to cancel when the balance is gone ?

    Those of you asking what you can do with the credit, your best bet is to use it on standard calls/texts/wap. If you want to use premium services you have to set up "auto top-up" which will cost you £10.

    The £10 makes it hardly worth bothering with if you're going to use it for competitions and text voting etc. Plus you'll have the insecurity of having a Continuous Payment Authority set up, and if you reach a balance of £2 at any point then it will auto top up. Also many premium services can be dodgy and you may end up being spammed and getting charged to receive the texts. With auto-topup enabled, this could be a problem.

    If you don't want to use it for calls/texts/wap then cancel it and enjoy spending your Quidco cashback. But if you want to make the most of it, use it for calls/texts/wap! That's what it's for after all ;)

    Tallyho asked;
    "Just done that now so does that mean once I get too £0.00 they won't take anymore money from me as I intend to cancel when the balance is gone ?"

    From the Ts+Cs;
    1. Definitions
    "Auto top-up online means the optional Service by which your Account will be automatically credited from your credit card with an agreed amount whenever the balance of your Account falls below £2.00. This service is a requirement if you wish to make International Calls and use our International Roaming service."

    Assuming that the above is not enabled on the account?
    Then;
    8. Termination

    8.1 You may ask us to cancel the Agreement at any time from your Account on our Website. To do this you need to be logged in on your own account with your password.

    8.2 We shall cancel the Agreement as soon as is practicable after receiving your notice to cancel as described in condition 8.1. You will remain liable for all Charges for Services taken up to the moment we cancel the Agreement, including all Charges relating to International Calls and International Roaming which may take longer to be billed.

    8.3 You agree to pay us promptly on termination of the Agreement, any monies and/or Charges outstanding at the date of termination. We will return any amount of your advanced payment remaining, after we have deducted such outstanding monies and/or Charges from the advance payment, either by sending a cheque, by bank transfer to you or by returning the amount to the credit card used for topping-up your Account. We will charge you a small fee to cover any administrative costs we incur in returning such monies to you. Any free airtime which has been credited to your Account as part of an introductory or promotional offer or bonus scheme will not be paid out to you as a cash equivalent on termination of this Agreement or otherwise and is non-transferable.

    From the easyMobile tariff 'Our Prices'
    Account closure & withdrawal of funds from your account........... £5

    If you close your account with easyMobile.com & have a remaining balance you want to withdraw, it will be subject to a £5 charge. This covers our cost in relation to paying you the money by cheque or bank transfer.
