easyMobile: SIM plus credit offers (merged)

I would just like to say that there was a guy on this site who was criticising this company recently. I jumped to the defence of easymobile but have recently changed my opinion on them.
They invent problems that aren't there, you go through the hassle of sorting it out and then relax after receiving confirmation to support this. A couple of days later and you're faced with the same problem again.
I've since closed my account as I've lost all confidence in a company that appears to not know what it is doing, having access to my bank.
Rather than moneysaving this has turned into a money losing exercise.0 -

Seems to - I bought 2 a couple ofweeks ago the Nokia 1600 actually. They are now showing as tracked.0 -
Hi,
Has anyone experienced being able to go into negative balance on your pay as you go sim? The reason I ask is that my balance is currently a -£15... £5 of which is a blocking fee for going into the negative. Now in my experience, PAYG sims should not allow you to go in the red? or am I wrong? I thought the whole point of having a PAYG is so that you can watch what you spend and once your credit has finished then you would not be allowed to make any further calls. This is obviously not the case with easymobile which is why I'm slightly disappointed with them. So just a word of warning to be very careful and to constantly keep an eye on your balance. They will allow you to go -£10 before adding a further £5 blocking fee.0 -
I had an idea which I wanted to run past you guys. I've just received my SIM, which has £46 credit on it (£3 plus £33 bonus plus £10 in referrals).
Now I only took the SIM really to get the Quidco cashback. Whilst I may use a little credit I will never use most of it. I was wondering...earlier in this thread it says there is a £5 admin fee for closing the account and getting the remaining balance transferred to your bank account.
Is there anything stopping me from doing so? I would take a £5 hit, but £5 of free money doesn't bother me, when I'd be getting the other £41 back in my bank account. Now I would expect there to be some reason why I can't do this, as it seems too good to be true! Any ideas??0 -
I would have thought you could only get paid back into your account what you yourself have actually topped up with . In essence your trying to get them to pay back their own money ( credits ) to you !
I would say NO CHANCE , they'd go bankrupt .0 -

No you won't get the remaining balance.
Call charges get taken off your paid-for credit first and then from the bonus credit. If you cancel your account, any bonus credit is cancelled. If you want your remaining paid-for credit returned (£3?) you have to pay a £5 admin charge, so effectively you have not earnt any free credit at all and will have had to pay £2 to EasyMobile for their trouble.

None of the bonus credit is refundable. This includes referrals. The £5 fee would be to get your £3.00 back so not worth doing0 -
Snap point3 lol0

Thanks for the replies guys. To be honest I assumed there would be something like that otherwise they would lose too much money lol. I am happy with my quidco cashback though :-)0

So the way to cancel it with no fees is to wait until you have just pence left on your account and then cancel it? Is that right, oh and how do you actually cancel it?0
