easyMobile: SIM plus credit offers (merged)

Hi,

Not sure how often this offer pops up but thought it was worth mentioning just in case someone was still interested (seems better than the £2/£25 and SMS offers they also do). I took them up on the offer last time around and am impressed with the service so far.

They have another "lucky day" tomorrow - 1 August, where national calls and texts are free.

The only thinig I don't particularly like about the service is that you have to have auto top-up enabled when you roam, but I can live with it.

I've nothing but praise for easyMobile since I moved networks. The free days are fantastic too! A great deal!

Learn from the mistakes of others - you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.

Would have to agree! The people who complain about falling foul of their T&C's are not 'playing it right' at all. We have 5 sims in our house (one for each family member) and have never had to top up once in 2 months. It costs us just 3p/min to call our kids to check on them (and vice versa) and if we text instead the charge is a simply ridiculous 1p!

With the free credit we got with the SIM purchase, coupled with the £5 extra credit we have received from referring people (they are happy to get referred as they get £5 credit as well!) we all still have plenty of free credit left on our sims. Then, of course, there is the Quidco cashback (up to £19 per sim!). IMHO the best deal on MSE at the moment...
I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!

Has anyone ported a number away from easymobile and back again to take advantage of a free calling credit offer?. I'd like to keep my number rather than just sign up for another one, I'm just wondering if they keep a list of all the numbers to prevent this from happening.

I understand what you are saying. If for any reason you wanted to stop using Easymobile PAYG service, you will have to pay back whatever free credit you obtained when you joined which i think is harsh and unfair as when you actually think about it, your not receiving any free credit..your paying £3 (this deal) or whatever the sim cost (when you joined), to join their service. I previously had two easymobile PAYG sims within my family for about 6 months and when we decided to take out a contract with O2, when closing our easymobile account we had to pay back all bonuses...i.e, startup bonus. This has been well documented and im sure everyone who signs up knows what they are doing anyway...just thought i would mention this.
  • paying back any bonuses???
