Go Here to find out about this amazing offer.

O.K. Here's how it works.

EasyMobile are running a promo until the end of January where you will get £20 free airtime credit when you purchase a SIM for £10.

Essentially this gives you a £10 airtime profit. To make the deal a little sweeter you can actually get £10 back from Quidco once you've activated the card. So potentially you could have a £20 airtime profit. Considering easyMobile flat rates are 5p for xnet text and 15p for xnet calls that may last a while! You can also keep your existing number if you are on an unlocked phone or not in a contract.

I know Easyphone are not the best system but hey, what the hell.

Enjoy!!

    Quidco listing for easyMobile says:

"for a sim pack and purchase of initial credit (within 60 days of successfully registering the sim pack)"

Does that mean you would have to buy more credit in order to get the £10 payment from Quidco or does the cost of the SIM include this "initial credit".

It'll cost YOU a tenner for starters, see below :

Credit your account with at least £10 & this will become your airtime credit on your account. You will also receive a further £10 free airtime credit when you join up (offer ends 31/01/06).
  • Thanks. Just signed up through quidco.

On the front page is says " No Minimum Call Charges - You only pay for what you use, saving you money! No hidden charges. Click on the button to compare our prices against our competitors."

But if you use <£5 per 3 months they charge you 75p!

Then in the FAQ the first Question is:

    Q. What is Minimum Usage?

    A. In the event that your usage is below £5.00 over a 3 month period (i.e. if your actual usage in the months April, May & June is £4.99 or less) we will apply a charge of 75p which is deducted from your account balance. This charge will be applied every month until your spend exceeds £5.00.

We introduced this charge to support our commitment to all of our customers of keeping costs to a minimum & for the full advantage to customers that actively use our service.

We will endeavour to let you know in advance if you may incur the 75p Minimum Usage Charge via email. We will also inform you if the charge has been applied to your easyMobile.com account via email. The charge is usually applied on or around the 7th of the following month.

  • as mentioned in an earlier thread...easyMobile does give you the option of choosing your new mobile number....so try searching for a "silver" number (cos its probably not as nice as a golden one) while you're at it =)

Still a good deal £20 airtime for no money.

Pay: £10 to Purchase SIM with £10 airtime
Get: £10 more airtime and £10 via Quidco

So after the deal you have a new SIM with new or existing number, charged with £20 of airtime, and the £10 you paid comes back via Quidco.

If you make <£5 usage per 3 months there is a charge of 75p. This means £3 per year. So if you always spent <£5 there is a charge of £3 per year so your credit would last 6 years and 7 month or so; if Easy are still around then ;)

Surely o2 payg has to be a better deal.

Get a free sim card .Claim your £2.50p credit for starters.Top up by £10 get 100 free x net inclusive minutes,or 300 texts every month you top by £10, and still keep the £10 to spend .Get 10% added to your top ups quarterly.Get a free bolt on for 3months.Get a free treat after six months.

A 100 minutes of x-net calls on Easy Mobile will cost £15 same thing on O2 free.3OO texts on Easy M £15 Same thing on O2 if your on Text option free

I think that if you use less than £5.00 over any three month period they will charge you 75p. So if you are charged this at the end of month 3, you would have to use it a lot in month 4 to up the total for months 2, 3 & 4. It would therefore be £9.00 a year.

I hope that the easyMobile lurker will clarify this & the nastly little charge which will stop his network increasing IMO
