Well i ccompleted i W1R2 tonight and i dont think i found it any easier than R1. The first couple of reps may have been a teeny bit easier but the rest still killed me. I dont run with an Ipod, tho i do have one. I never use it. Do you think it will be easier?
Took my DD who said she couldnt run but she found it a doddle compared to me.
Have thoses of you who started this done so to get fit, loose weight or both? I just wondered if im finding so hard as im quite heavy. Im 5'7'' and 13 st!!
I'm trying to lose weight too, but not sure if the running is helping or hindering that. My legs are definitely more toned but tbh I think if anything I'm gaining weight due to extra muscle mass! But then I'd rather be a muscley blob than a flabby one :rotfl:
Today was my rest day but tomorrow is wk 8 run 1  Well done to those who have ran today :T0 -
Did wk 3 run 3 yesterday, Am planning on starting wk 4 on Sunday, but I have got to be honest I am already thinking I may not manage it but I wil give it a go and then see how I am... dh is coming out with me on Sunday as we are at my Mums so hopefully she will be ok if we leave the kids with her for half an hour...
I am running to try to improve my fitness (which before this was non existent!!) I am also hoping to lose a bit of weight, I havn't got loads to lose but hate it that I have clothes that feel tight...I am also trying to improve my diet for this too...another side is my mood, I have 4 yr old twins who are very very active and are hard work, so the running is something I can get out and do on my own and it definitely improves my mood xStarting with Avon C6 target sales £150.000 -
Back to it tomorrow  I'm going to try week 8 but with having a week off not sure I'll manage so will just do as long as I can
I'm running to try get rid of some of my bum :rotfl: it doesn't appear to be working! Helps my mood too thoughJust because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0 -

I was inspired to run because of the 'running' bit on the Wii fit. I had tried running about 5years ago but found I suffered with 'leakage' IYKWIM! so didn't bother anymore until I got the Wii fit and managed to do the longer run and was ok, found this thread and the rest is history!
I think it must help with the pelvic floor muscles, I suppose subconciously I must hold them in (hubby has commented), so doing good there!:):)
Tried to do W5r3 this morning, had planned to do it tommorow but woke up early and the sun was shining. Oh what a disaster! My legs were not joining in and the mp3 ran out of battery, had to stop for a couple of mins twice and so not very pleased with myself!0 -
Well I managed week 6 run 3 yay :-), am so pleased. I struggled but as long as I thought about stuff (anything but running) it was easier which may mean that I should run outside on the longer runs. Do I dare unleash my red sweaty face and wobbling legs to an unsuspecting public though. You're all keeping me going on this thread - thanks everyone.Never let your sucesses go to your head and never let your failures go to your heart.:beer:0

Well done Skintlass - you are doing great!
Just finished week 1 run 3 this morning and going to move onto week 2 from Sunday - dreading it in case I can't do the next stage.
I do run outside but am very self concious about it - run in a park and an old raliway line so only see dog walkers, cyclists and other runners so not too bad!0 -

Well done :T:T You'll get over the self consciousness, the more runs you do. Before you know it you'll be saying hello to them
Doing my Week 9 Run 1 in the morning. 30 min
Well done everyone, keep it up :j0 -

Thats a very good point!!! Yes, it does take a little longer to run and speak at the same time lol. Robert always used to make me laugh on the first week when he said that you should be able to hold a conversation whilst running. As if that was going to happen :rotfl:
Good luck with your run tomorrow. A good pair of trainers can make the world of difference. I don't have a super duper pair. Got a nice Adidas pair for around £20 in the sales in Week 2 or 3, and they really are so much better than my tatty old trainers0 -
Hi all, just wanted to say I'm disappearing for a while but hope to be back. Just discovered my Mum has secondary cancer and only a few weeks left so I'm going to go and be with her.
I might get some running done - it's good for clearing the head.
Good luck to you all!0
