Had a really rubbish run today. My heart was not really in it. I don't like running in the afternoon and even though it is my afternoon off I have so much work to do I knew I had to get back. Only ran for 26 minutes so week 9 run 3 is still to be done:(
Two good things happened though. I have to run through an open farm and a tractor passed full of school children and I heard one of them say "OH look at that lady running" So children forget the sheep and the lambs and the rabbits and swans I am far more interesting...maybe that isn't a good thing;)
Secondly a really fit looking runner(she bares her tummy and not just because her top doesn't fit:D) said hello.
So looks like I shall be here for awhile. It was sunny but really really windy .
Hope everyone else has done better than me. Keep going everyone.

Right wk 3 run 2 done, I officially love week 3 :D It seems to go really quickly - but I bet I won't say that as the weeks go on lol...luckily it had got a lot cooler as well for when I went out which was good...

Have just finished W2R1 and it feels great to have done it :) It's taken me 5 weeks to get this far as I was sooooo unfit but at last I can see I'm getting somewhere.
Well done to everyone who goes out in this heat :T

Just re-read my earlier post and have noticed I said I usually get fed up after a wee :rotfl: I obviously meant week!!!

I was just wondering if any of you that are running for 10 minutes and more felt like you wouldn't be able to do that in earlier weeks out of interest or if when you were stopping after short times you felt you could give it more, as I usually feel totally ready to stop!! please say yes :p

Hope you're feeling better Drea x

Yes Sammy_girl you are right I am very lucky. I regularly see Rabbits,Foxes, herons, egrets and the moment Swans and their cygnets in
addition to loads of other water birds and farm animals. For a long time it has been too muddy to run there but now it is as dry as a bone. Hope you did O.K. on your run 3.
Well done to skintlass, 69chick, completelylost and spinme.
ginsvt I hated being ill and not being able to run. It wasn't that I missed the running but I felt I had come so far and I was worried I would not get it back again. Plus I missed everyone on here. Hope you feel better soon.:)

I noticed that and forgot to comment:D
If it makes you feel any better I definitely thought I would not be able to carry on. There is an old couch to 5k thread. If you look back at that you will find some of us oldies and others when we were newbies.....exactly the same honest:)

Definitely 69chick. When I started I couldnt run more than a minute without stopping, I can now do 5k and am trying to work on getting quicker. I still find it hard every run but I think your body gets used to it and can cope with it better. I still feel like stopping every time I go out but I know its all in my head and so I dont.

A thousand times yes!!!! I can vividly remember my Week 1 Run 1. I got to about the eighth interval and thought I couldn't run anymore! But it does get better - honest. You just need to make sure you carry on :)

Did my Week 8 Run 3 tonight and all went well :j Unfortunately my gps on my phone didn't work so no stats for me :( But, I always do the same route, and I definitely ran the furthest so I must have been going faster :j

Can't believe my next run is Week 9 Run 1 :D
