It will get easier. On the first run I couldn't do the whole minute's run. Second time round a minute was fine. Tomorrow will be my first week 5 run - it has taken longer than 5 weeks to get there, but that's fine. It might be running, but it's not a race!0

Thanks for that....I hope it does but at the minute i dont feel its possible....
Im aching today. Kept waking up during the night as my muscles were sore.DS Anthony Steven 07.06.92DD Becky Emma 24.01.94DD Rose Grace Jean 12.05.090 -
Have done W5r2 this morning and am feeling good! Can't believe how I struggled so much on the earlier runs. I never ever dreamt I would get this far - I found running for 90secs difficult!
Keep going everyone!0 -
Well done to all of you runners, as a newbie your messages make me want to keep going did w1r2 last night which was a struggle as my legs were hurting from the start. At least it's done now so 1 more to go this week.0

Newbie here. Ive been reading this thread for a few days and decided to try W1R1 tonight....OMG....i cant believe how hard it was.
I really hope it feels easier after the next few sessions as I really didnt think i was going to be able to complete the last minute!!
I can't believe I can do 25 minutes now (albeit very slowly) So to anyone feeling a little disheartened on week 1 or 2, keep going. Even if you have to repeat a week to get it right, it's worth persevering with.
I'm going for my final week 7 run this evening. I haven't looked at week 8 yet, but have a feeling I'm not going to like it0 -
W1R3 done! Took longer to get there than it should - just couldn't face running in the heat after my aborted attempt on Sunday but I really enjoyed it today!
I think I might repeat W1 before attempting W2 - don't want to push it too much and whilst it has got easier I started as unfit as I could possibly be!0 -
Well done Kentish, keep going I have w1r3 still to go before the end of the week.0

Busiscoming- I am at the same point as you having completed w5r2 this afternoon. Was away for the weekend so hadn't run since last Thursday and thought I would hit thebrick wall today and have to skip back a bit, so I am very pleased that didn't happen. Hoping to attempt run 3 on Friday. How about you?
Kentish- I think you should move on to week 2 and you might surprise yourself! I was going to repeat it too but moved on and have not had to repeat any runs! Touchwood as the next one is 20 mins all in one go. The progression spurs me on though as I am determined not to repeat runs unless I really can't run any further one day!

Should have been Wk9, run 1 tonight. Am messing around a bit as not in the mood. Couldn't find my mp3 player so music-less which put me in a bad mood. Decided to run round the block (about 1 1/2kms) but tried to do it faster than normal to make up for lack of distance :rotfl:
Will run on Friday - need to do a really good one as haven't been that great recently (I blame it on the new trainers, sure they are jinxed)
Well done to all the newbies - you're doing great :j:j:jNow proud Mumto3 :j0 -
Thank you u01jet4 - I'm downloading Wk2 as I type - as you say I might surprise myself and I can always go back to Wk1 if it proves impossible!0
