Been away for the weekend so was always planning to leave my third proper run until tomorrow but having logged on and been inspired by everyone's comments over the weekend I've just tried a "mini-run" to the local shop and back and I'm feeling very hot and bothered and unfit :(

I'm hoping it's just the heat today and it won't be so hard tomorrow - well done to everyone who made it out in the sun! Not sure how you managed it!

I'm going to take a week off running and start again next weekend. My sides are a lot better but can still feel it a bit and really don't want that pain again!

I'm afraid I won't be graduating with everyone else :(

Glad to hear it's easing off, but can't blame you for holding back a bit.

    I won't be rushing off anywhere :p

Are we to come and find you when it's next weekend ;)

Make sure you do lots of walking & general exercise to keep fit :p
    Now proud Mumto3 :j

Week 4, run 1 done - just! 5 minutes seemed very long and I nearly gave up twice but I got there. In total I ran 16 minutes over 30 mins which I never thought I would be able to do 4 weeks ago so not too bad.:)

Drea - hope you have a nice easy week and feel better soon.

    Well done everyone else:T

Good idea Drea, hopefully you will be back to your best in a week or so :)

Mumto2 I did my first couple of runs with ds on his bike but he popped his back tyre so is wating for dh to fix it (won't hold my breath!!) it was nice him coming with me, but weird that we didn't speak much cos I was listening to my music, but it was still nice moral support...

I really am pleased with yesterdays run, I know its not much, but I really thought I wouldn't be able to run for 3 minutes after feeling so out of breath etc. on the 90 seconds ones!

Well done cookiemum on your wk 4 run :T ...

skintlass I am thinking of going to the gym when the weather gets bad, I imagine it would be harder on a treadmill somehow but don't know...what do others think?

Don't worry Drea like mumto2 I'm not leaving ether;) We'll wait. BTW what has happened to your mum??? Is she still running?

Well done to skintlass, kentishdoris and 69chick and anyone else who has run in this heat, it certainly made it more challenging.:j

I think its more boring on the treadmill - I just don't really want to run outside until I can run the 5k none-stop. Apart from that there will be different gradients outside and I only run on the flat on the treadmill.

She is still running, just hasn't been on the thread :) I think she must be on week 3 now. She's been enjoying it :)

Thanks all, I'll be back to it at the weekend, just want to make sure whatever happened is sorted before I end up really injuring myself.

    Well done everyone :j
