I'm in pain and lots of it. The last time after running I had pain just where my ribs start but didn't think much of it, it wasn't too bad. Now I'm in agony, it's really bad! It was okay while running but now it just hurts so much, it's an inside pain, nothing wrong with my skin or anything. Even brushing my arm past it is really sore :( on both sides too! I don't understand!

My leg and now this. Hey, at least my leg seems to be all better now! If this stays I'll have to go to the doctor...

I really want to start running, I've lost just over 4 stone since last January and have been going swimming a couple of times a week but I want to get into running because then I can go any night I want etc, I have another couple of stone to lose but I want to get fit as well as thin! Am just really conscious of people laughing at me though lol, as my face goes purple very easily!

Oh don't worry about that, I come home and see myself in the mirror and think "what must I have looked like", I'm always bright red :rotfl: when you're out there you just don't think about it though and most people I run past when I'm struggling just give me motivational smiles :D

    Week 3 Run 3 done:j

Gorgeous morning so get out there SammyGirl.

Drea - hope you are feeling better - that doesn't sound nice at all.

Well done everyone else. I wore a pedometer this morning and it only had me covering 1.8KM. I hope when I run more and speed up I will get near the 5km?!!

    Enjoy the sunshine:)

Well I have just done week 1 run 1 - got up at half seven so there wouldn't be many people about! Have to admit that I did enjoy it, it's just keeping it up that I must concentrate on. Back of legs ache already despite doing 20 minute walk as cool down to get back home!

Week 8 Run 2 done - and it felt GREAT!!!!!!!! The best run I've done so far I think :)

Set my gps app for running time only, so not including the 5 min warm up and down, I did the following:

    Distance - 2.04 miles
    Max Speed - 7.19mph
    Avg Speed - 4.52mph
    Avg Pace - 13:17 min/mi
    Calories - 294

Tbh, I don't think its completely accurate as it also said I ran for 27m 07s. But that's ok, at least it gives me a rough guide. So clearly, I'm not the fastest runner, but hey I'm moving right??? :D

Cookiemum - Well done on your run :j Week 4 for you next - keep up the good work :)

Drea - Ouch, sounds painful. Is it like a stitch pain? Make sure you get plenty of rest. Hope it gets better soon :)

immynjoesmum - Wow, well done on losing 4 stone :T You'll enjoy the C25k i know! But you don't need to have an ipod. Any mp3 player will do, even the super cheap ones.

Mumto2 - Are you going to be on Week 9 now? How exciting!!

Right, now my runs done for the day, I think I'll spend the rest of my day enjoying the sunshine. Happy weekend everyone :)

Some great runs already today well done Primer, Sammy-girl, cookiemum and busiscoming :T

Primmer the leg aching after gets better very quickly...I am only just finising wk 2 and my legs are now fine the next day..

My wk3 run1 is due tomorro, but scared as I have struggled to run for 90 secs but think I will still give it a go and If I can't manage it, I will repeat wk 2 from when I go out Tuesday...I might even do my run this afternoon, depending on the weather etc....

Talking of work, better do some :p

Sammy - That's odd because my GPS said I only ran for 27 minutes too (you know, that one time I actually managed to complete it :rotfl:). I think Mr Ullery might be lying to us

Still very sore, took all I had to get out of bed and go to the toilet! Somehow got to drag myself to the bank.

Well done everyone for doing your runs :D
