Drea and Mumto2, just think how lovely that glass of wine will be if you have been out for your run
:rotfl: Maybe I could even treat myself to some fruit cider....We're not going to get out of this, are we :rotfl::rotfl:
Doesn't look like it  I think it's technically Week 8, Run 3 for me but since I fell and only did 10 minutes before I'll make it run 2 againJust because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0 -
Hi there 69chick I don't know if running slower will help. All I know is that when I first started running all sorts of parts of my body started playing up and I thought I would never be able to do it. When I slowed right down it got easier. Somewhere back in the posts I put in my speeds for a fast walk compared to a run and there was not much difference at all. Now I have just begun to speed up. Give it a try. I think when your body is used to doing nothing it objects when you start, go slow and you fool it into thinking it's O.K.;)
Drea and mumto2 I am awaiting your posts.:p
Took my dad out for luch as it is such a nice day and he is feeling quite poorly. May have to go for a long walk tonight to get rid of the chocolate cake:DEnough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D0 -
Drea & mumto2 - I hope you're out doing your runs as I type this
I'm going to do wk7 run1 this eve... I'm waiting for it to come in dark as usual, as can't face running in the heat! I'm praying there'll be a breeze...0 -
Been for my run. Only managed 24 minutes this time, really getting frustrated with this! I was so close but just couldn't run a step further.Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0

And a large glass of pinot grigio for the lady with the red face
I took my 7yr old DD on her bike with me for the first time - just as well I wasn't doing intervals - had to take my headphones off as she wouldn't stop talking! Constant 'my friend lives over there', 'this is the way we go to brownies', 'can we stop at the co-op' :rotfl:She didn't do too badly and it was a lovely thing to do together.
Next run on Sunday :j
Good luck everyone over the weekend. Quite hot out there - first time I've run without my sweatshirt on. Can't believe just 3-4 weeks back I was wearing gloves as I was flipping freezing! Now proud Mumto3 :j0 -
Posting at the same time, Drea. Well done - in this heat I think we've both done well.
Hang in thereNow proud Mumto3 :j0 -
I think I might be on week 8 for a while
Not just me who's face goes very red then? :rotfl:Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0 -
I really want to start running, I've lost just over 4 stone since last January and have been going swimming a couple of times a week but I want to get into running because then I can go any night I want etc, I have another couple of stone to lose but I want to get fit as well as thin! Am just really conscious of people laughing at me though lol, as my face goes purple very easily!0

We're all in the same boat - dont' worry about what people think. I'm sure they look at us and think 'well done'. If not, at least we're out there running!
This program is fantastic - if you read back a few pages, you'll get a lot of inspiration. It's a friendly thread and everyone is very supportive. I certainly wouldn't have got this far without my online running pals.
(sorry, the pinot grigio is going to my head - am all emotional).
Come and join us, look at the first post for all details and get your trainers on!
Good luck and let us know how you get onNow proud Mumto3 :j0
