    Well done :)

I'm no where near the 5km yet, think I'll have to up my pace after I can run for 30 mins. Sounds like a nice day waiting for you after your run ;)

Just need to check that he's intending to let me in the car on the way home! Not sure I'll be up to running 5kms back home uphill :rotfl:

Good luck to everyone running today

Did my wk 2 run 2 this afternoon, was really sunny and so donned suncream etc. I found it quite tough, when I ran the 90 seconds I really didn't feel as if I could have run for any longer - but last week I felt I could:( just felt really heavy today, My breathing is the problem I thing...

Anyway I will do my next run on Thursday and then start wk 3 on Sunday, but If I struggle too much will repeat wk 2....I am determined that even if I never manage to run for long periods, I will still go out and at least do what I am doing as I am enjoying the 'me' time and the mood lift that I get from running :p

Mumto2 how nice of your oh to give you such a nice incentive and he is obviously helping you with motivation too...my dh has been good too and is hapy for me to go out even though the kids are a nightmare at the moment!!

Good luck vixarooni - I too am hoping it gets easier!!!

Teerah - Hope you get motivated to get out there tonight...you know you will be glad you did ;)

Catch you all later - it's the end of the world here, one of my twins balloons has popped :-?

Been out and... fell. The top of my right leg has been hurting quite a bit but I thought it was just muscles or something.

When I went to step down on my leg 9 minutes into my run it just acted like jelly and collapsed under me. Very embarrassing! Tried to get up and keep going but only managed another minute :o

Well hung the washing up and the weather clouded over...typical. I did have other excuses at the ready but decided to go for it anyway. It was tough. At first I thought it was far too cold...sea breezes and all that, then the sun came out again and it was swealtering. However week 8 run 3 done. Week 9 next:eek: It's only two minutes more so I'm not too scared although I know I have to increase my speed a lot to get to the 5k. I remember bloggin on here that the jump from week 2 to week 3 was massive and that was only 90 seconds. The programme really does work.
69chick are you going really really slow? sometimes you need to slow it down and then it doesn't feel so bad,you can speed up later.
Drea did you forget your bannana?;)
    Keep going everyone.
Enough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D

    Well done everyone :)

Drea = Hope you're ok hon. If it's not feeling right, don't strain yourself. At least you got up and went out so well done! I've fallen flat on my face before (dodgy knee), so understand your embarrassment :o

Teachergirl - Woo hoo, you're nearly there :j I actually can't believe Ive got this far either. Might have to read over my earlier posts to see how scared I was of week 2 :rotfl:

Mumto2 - Wow, what a great OH. My DH shows absolutely no interest, other than to tell me my bum looks nice in my new running pants :D

Well done all, esp the newbies - pls believe me when I say that we've been there and know exactly how you feel. But it does get much better, I promise!!!!

Drea - poor you. Hope it soon eases off. Beginning to think those running socks were cursed...

Well done everyone else, I think we're going to have to plan a graduation ceremony or something :T:T

Your'e not all going to leave are you :eek:

Oh Drea what a shame, hope you are feeling ok now, you did get out though so the motivation was there...

Can anyone recommend something I can wear round my waist that is comfy when running that I could put my ipod touch in? I am strapping it to my arm at the moment which is ok under a long sleeve top, but I feel like I look a bit of a geek with it strapped onto my bare arm :o

Just walked ds to his cub meeting and there are loads of runners about at this time....I found myself looking at their clothes to see what they were wearing :rotfl: think I might treat myself to some proper stuff as a reward if I get through wk 3 or so !
