Mumto2 I think you have done fab overall, so don't worry about todays blip, pat yourself on the back for how far you have already come :T
I am very very new to this, but would guess that running is probably like everything else in life - some days things go great and others it just seems like obstacles are being thrown in the way of achieving what we want....
I know my problem is going to be my pms which will be in a week or so...I suffer really bad with it (not too much with the mood but with tummy trouble) and then when it arrives ahem...it is really painful......I am going to try and carry on regardless and if I am honest am hoping that the exercise is going to help i bit on that front....sorry if tmi
Well done on your week 8 run too Drea :TStarting with Avon C6 target sales £150.000 -
If the 20 minute run is putting you off then it's probably a good idea to go onto Week 6 then maybe at the end of Week 6 (apart from the 25 minute run) you could try the 20 minutes again?
I will do it eventually... though might have a heart attack whilst trying
I've just done wk6 run 1, quite enjoyed it! It was nice to have intervals again - I like having an idea of when I'm going to start and stop!! I definitely think part of it is psychological for me...0 -
It sounds like a few peeps are ready to do the 5k as I think thats week 9. CompletelyLost don't worry about the 20 min run, when you're ready you'll do it (maybe you could try to run slower and see if that helps). So it looks as if I skipped a week or at least caught backup up the week I slipped when I was ill. I'm really pleased and just hope I can keep it up. Teachergirl you've done fab doing a long run after a very long walk. Well done everyone.Never let your sucesses go to your head and never let your failures go to your heart.:beer:0

Hi all.
Well done to all those who have kept up their running.
Since I last posted here, I have had a lot of work on and didn't much much sleep, so had to miss week 2, run 2 and 3. I got back to running these runs last week and last night started week 3: only it wasn't week 3. I copied week 3 from a running site (their week 2) so I did a 5 minute brisk walk followed by run 3mins, walk 3 mins, for 5 times. I was surpised how easy I found it with the 3 minute recovery time. I was a long way from home when I finished, so that gave me plenty of time to cool down. Just a slight twinge in a knee this morning, so I'm hoping that will be gone by my next run on Tuesday.
I didn't want to go out running last night, but the thought of posting here spurred me on. I find that I don't want to go running, but when I get back, I never regret going running.RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

I'm the same MissMoneypenny, really have to make myself go out most of the time but when I get back I am so glad I did. I have never regretted going out either, even when it doesnt go so well I figure its better than having done nothing at all :T
I havent been out since friday evening though did do a seven mile walk on saturday. Was supposed to go out last night but didnt bother so have to go out this evening instead.0
