skintlass well done you're at the same stage as me at the moment! Think I might do another repeat of it next week as I am finding that last run tough! I did week 3 twice too!

    I've done it veeery slowly!

But I've got to the point where I'm mostly happy with my body and whilst I'd like to lose a bit more I'm not really trying that much.

Good morning ladies(and gents?) I'm back really back.:j:j:j Week 8 run 1 done. It is a beautiful morning here. The sun is shining so I decided to run on the fens. I passed a couple of sheep (I did not realise they had such big ears) ,lots of rabbits, then onto the sea wall and the water was calm and it was just gorgeous. I could not believe it when robert said just one more minute to go, push yourself if you can, I actually sprinted, which I am sure I will pay for later;) Anyway the whole route was just over three miles including my warm up and warm down walks. So all I need to do is speed up a bit because on this route there is only one way and I needed longer to get home than five minutes. I can't believe I ran for 28 minutes:D
I have to say I agree with you Juno whilst I don't like the podcast music I have no idea when it is going to finish so I find the thump thump good to run to.
mumto2 hope all is going well with your mum. Look after youself.
Drea and Sammy-girl hope to hear good reports from you both later.
So pleased I went out this morning. I must confess that there was a part of me that was thinking of giving up:o
Enough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D

Well done Teachergirl - sounds like you had a great time. You've inspired me to get those new trainers out of the box and go tonight (wk7 run 3). Am going to go back to the podcasts instead of my own music this time.
    Now proud Mumto3 :j

I'm feeling a bit off today, legs are sore and I'm tempted to not run. But I'm getting into the habit of not running now like I did before I gave up last time so I'm going to force myself to get out tonight. It's just now that I don't have intervals I don't seem to be enjoying it so much.

    I will be out!

You're doing really well - I did a fun run once where it was along the coast and out on the pier , it was lovely. It sounds like you have beautiful scenery where you are.

Well done on your first run MinniMe!! And a huge well done to everyone else too:j

I did my second week 4 run today and still had to stop in the last five minute run, but this time instead of counting to 60 , I counted 30 seconds . So I figure this is an improvement:D. I really pushed myself for that last minute (like he said;)) and it wasnt as bad as on tuesday so I must be getting better.
I need to figure out how to concentrate on something other than the running because at the moment all that is going on in my head is .."come on, keep going..just a bit further....ouch.... etc , etc". I want to be able to switch off ...but I suppose that will come (I hope!):D

And what is going on with the music with the last run?

I also need to re-think my route because I am now having to double back and run the same way almost twice . This also means that I am going almost twice as far as in week 1 so it is spurring me on:j.

I did badly on W4R2 on wednesday and yes I agree the music sounds like a car crash! I Know what you mean about thinking about running all the time, I try to think of other things but the running just gets in the way!:rotfl:

Im going to try again tommorrow, was meant to go today but had other things to do, well thats my excuse anyway.
