PepPop - good luck with run 3. We can treat ourselves to a nice bar of chocolate and/or glass of wine tonight to celebrate!:T
Sounds like a plan - I'm playing it by ear today and may postpone run 3 till tomorrow morning. I was up to a ridiculous time last night watching the election and nearly slept in this morning. I don't want to put it off though cos I was hoping to start week 2 on Sunday. OK Decision made unless I'm dead on my feet run 3 will be tonight.0 -
I'm back
Thanks for the good luck. I did it! I think it was slightly easier than last time, but not much! At one point I thought Robert had forgotten about me. During the run he only came on to say that we were half way there and then again to say we had 1 minute left. Felt very lonely!!!!!!
I'm happy that I've got another 2 runs of 25 min, before it moves onto 28 min!
So, now I get to relax over the weekend and hopefully get Week 7 Run 2 done on Monday :j
Hope everyone who's got running plans this weekend have fun0 -
Hi everyone crawling back to join you all. Whilst being poorly bought some shiny new running gear on e-bay,it looks great on my 13 year old daughter.(Top and shorts) however the world is not ready to see me in it!!!!!(I think the label must stand for age not dress size:o)
Still feeling a bit poorly but getting frustrated because I have not been able to do any exercise. So I decided to start with week 5 run 1(I should be past week 9 and I had just finished week 7 when I got a chest infection.) The incline was awful:(but the decline was great:) and I did it:j So I do feel proud of myself and I am hoping that I will start to feel really well again so I can get back to some serious training . How else am I going to become a super athlete by the summer;)
Welcome to all the newbies and to all my old friends you are doing SO well keep it up:DEnough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D0 -

Thanks mumto2 it's mad how much I've missed you guys:o
I even ran past a lady with her dog who looked like she should be running(wearing all the gear with an I-pod in her ear.) She was walking when I saw her and then soon after I had passed she started running. I nearly went back and introduced myself. :rotfl:Enough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D0 -
I am currently waiting for dh to sort out my download on my ipod to start my running tomorrow....he has had a problem downloading so has had to get onto itunes....I decided to go for the app where you download your own music on as recommended on here in an earlier post...
Anyway loving reading your running stories....Will let you know how my first run goes tomorrow - bit scared but looking forward to getting started..Starting with Avon C6 target sales £150.000 -
I'm back from Cardiff
on the way from the airport I went to the running shop and got shiney new running shoes, and a running top accidentally slipped it's way into the bag too
My problem has been that I "fall in" at the arches when I walk/run and exactly where the seam of the Asics logo is is exactly where I fall in so it's been irritating my foot. Just typical really.
I now have Adidas running shoes which have arch support and cost me the grand total of £80  determined to pay it back off the credit card as soon as I get paid :rotfl:
Will be out later today/tonight for my Week 7, Run 1. My foot is still sore but will see how I goJust because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0 -

Been for my run, my foot doesn't hurt at all
I don't like Week 7, like Sammy said he ignores us! I'm used to being able to know how long I have left (ish) and I don't think I like not knowing...Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0
