Ohh I have the worst blister now :( really need to get new running shoes I think. It's Asics I have and the stitching on the inside where the pattern is at the side digs right into the side of my foot!
I had some Asics. My daddy bought them for me and they were expensive  But I didn't like them. I also had some N-locks. They weren't actually called N-locks, but I can't remember what they were called. They were orange and matched my orange running socks :)

Hi all, good to read peoples updates! I had to cut my run short on Monday - something in my left knee started hurting, and so I walked for a wee bit to see if I could walk it off but when I started jogging again it wasn't getting any better so I cut my run short which is annoying but the sensible thing to do. Missed last night as I was at a gig, Weightwatchers meeting tonight so will go out again Thursday :)
Good wine needs to breathe, if it stops breathing try mouth to mouth.

    Hi all :)

Drea- Well done on the run - and for getting out before work :j Don't you feel better, knowing that you can relax at home tonight :D

Well, I did my Week 6 Run 3 run this morning, and I was huffing and puffing at the end, but was determined not to stop, so I did it :j My legs were like complete jelly at the end though :rotfl:

I think I will carry on til I finish this programme, and then keep running 5k 3 times a week until I know my fitness improves, before attempting the gateway to 8k.

We're all getting so far - well done everyone

Not really, I've been shattered all day :rotfl: I don't think I'm a morning runner, had to give it a go though ;)

Will be looking at getting new running shoes now, really can't afford to until I get paid but can't go on with mine now that they are blistering me :( will see what I can do.

Hey Drea, shame you feel tired but at least for today it's done anyway!

If you go to Run and Become just up from Haymarket they are brilliant at matching you with the right pair of trainers. I got Brooks ones after trying on about 8 different pairs and running up the street a wee bit in each while one of the staff watched. I found asics really unsupportive but the Brooks are doing me really well so far. They were £80 but so far well worth it. I had a pair before that were £40 but they were very springy and I had really sore shins every times I went out running, something which has not happened since I got the Brooks.

Hi everyone (and special hello to newbies)
Well done for all those runs (and for getting out so early Drea:j). Shame about the blisters, when you're doing so well. Get some of those fancy plasters to put on them.

I did Wk6, Run 2 on Monday (didnt enjoy as was freezing and windy, so feeling a bit flat - hence no post).

Planning to do Wk6, Run 3 tonight after Brownie drop off. Have just made myself a set of music as I hate getting interuppted by Mr Ullrey when it's a long run. It's 8 different tracks  Now I can see why the continous music type is probably better as you don't quite realise the breaks in time. When I'm listening to Mr Ullrey talk about all the other weeks I'm tying my brain in knots doing mental maths figuring out different permutations of how far everyone has left - I feel like Carol Vorderman!!!

Wish me luck - 25 mins seems like far too long to keep on the move for
    Now proud Mumto3 :j

I do the same with the maths :rotfl: I find it helps me get through it better somehow...

You'll do it :) if you can do 20, then you can add an extra 5 on :)

I have phoned Asics about my trainers, I'm to send them in and might get a replacement but I doubt it, they sounded spectical. Only problem with that is I'll be left with no trainers for a while

    :rotfl: me too!!!

Good luck Mumto2 for your run tonight :j You'll be fine

Drea - sory about your trainers. That sucks. Have you tried a pair of proper running socks with the cushioning? Hope your blisters heal up.

When I finished my run today, my inner left thigh was having major twinges. I'm hoping that must be becasue of all the weight that's falling off :o:D

Glad everyone is doing well, and keeping going despite aches and pains.
I am repeating week 3 (because I am a wimp!) no really because I found it difficult, it not the legs, its my ability to keep breathing. Im not out of breath, I just can get a breathing rythmn going, I can't seem to take deep enough breaths, anyone else suffer with this or am I just weird?
