Completed week 2 tonight. I have been running every two days rather than 3 times a week and so far coping ok. I have been running up a steep hill for the first half and down the steep hill at the end so I think for week 3 I will try running on the flat with a slight gradual uphill to make sure I can sustain the pace. I am worried I am making it too easy by running thedownhill at the end, although the uphill at the start is quite hardgoing!

Really glad to have read about this programme on here.

I run every second day too :)

I wondered how you were getting so far so quickly! Have you repeated any weeks? I am in Edinburgh too :)

Nah I did an extra week 2 I think but have managed to keep going far better than I did first time around. Lost all motivation first time though :o

Where about in Edinburgh? :D Nice to have someone local here :)

Wow, I feel good! After dithering whether or not I would do the Week 3 again or stay on Week 4, I left the house thinking at least I'm getting out there and doing something!

So I decided to do week 4 again, thinking I could always cut the 5 min runs down to 3 if i felt it too hard ... but managed to get through the whole thing quite well, not too out of breath like usual as was running a fair bit slower than the first time, just trying to get through it. I did start to get a stitch toward the end of the second 3 min run, so I took a bit of extra time out for some stretching before doing the last 5 mins.

I feel I hit my stride in the second 5 min run and was quite enjoying it (I don't think I really like running that much). When it got to the last minute and he said to push it, I went a bit harder and felt like I was really running ... I almost didn't want him to say stop! Felt like I could have run that way a bit longer, but trying not to overdo it! Am very proud of myself for sticking with it :)

    Well done sarsief :D

This morning is the first day I managed to get out before work. Felt like a zombie for the first 5 minutes of my run :rotfl: somehow managed the 25 minutes though :D

Well, I managed Week 1 Run 2 this morning. Still red faced but it is a lovely morning so now wide awake and ready for work.

My legs are ok but my arms feel tired. Should it not be my legs?!!!

Pep Pop - have you been out yet? It will be good to have someone to nag/encourage me at the same level.:j

Ohh I have the worst blister now :( really need to get new running shoes I think. It's Asics I have and the stitching on the inside where the pattern is at the side digs right into the side of my foot!
