Oh no, not pavement scraping again

You can do it! "Go Drea, Go Drea" :T
Will be waiting to hear about your success.
I'm meant to be doing Wk4, run 3 today. Not sure when though. Hubby on late train and it's Beavers night, so won't be able to go out until at least 8pm, then what about tea as doing 'together tea' for me and hubby?? It's all a bit much to think about, so might defer until tomorrow. Have got another little mission as well... I'm only 78km away from Lands End, so am pedalling like crazy to get there as soon as I can
Now proud Mumto3 :j0 -
Here I am to tell you about my success

I went out with the most defeatist can't be bothered attitude and actually found it quite easy.
My trainers have started to hurt my left heel though
they are proper running shoes but I never got them fitted. I just don't have a lot of money to spend on trainers
they've been fine up until now. Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0 -
Drea - Glad to see you checked in - was just coming to make sure! Well done. Don't know what to suggest about the trainers, could you maybe try thicker socks?
Have managed to get out tonight, so have now finished Wk4 :j:j:j
Had a really good run as well. Though my knee started to twinge towards the end (quite worrying as I had a cruciate ligament repair a few years ago). Noticed that Aldi are doing knee guards this week, off I go to get one
. Perhaps cycling 60kms, then running is a bit much for one day
Anyone else out there tonight? It's lovely weather for running
Now proud Mumto3 :j0 -
I did my run this morning - week 2 run 3. Feeling like I'm starting to come down with a cold (hope not). I really want to do week 3 run 1 on Sunday. Well done to everyone - seems like you're all going great guns.Never let your sucesses go to your head and never let your failures go to your heart.:beer:0

Well done you!
Only thing I could suggest is making sure you've got the laces done up good and tight to stop your feet moving around too much. And the thicker socks too!0 -
I noticed once I took my socks off that there is actually a hole at the heel so hopefully it was just that causing the pain

Well done everyone

Just checking in to say week2 run 3 complete:j.
I have come to the conclusion that this running lark is a bit like childbirth. The pain of it comes in waves, gradually getting worse until you feel you can take no more and by the time you are nearly finished you are out of breath ,sweaty and pink ,determined never to do it again!.
When it is all over you are on such a natural high that you forget all the pain and suffering and decide to put yourself through it again:rotfl::rotfl:.....(this is how I ended up with 3 kids in 4 years lol )
When I got back this morning I decided to see what I was letting myself in for in week 3 , by listening to the podcast. I nearly had a fit -thinking I will NEVER manage to do it, until I realised I had spent half an hour listening to week 4:eek:.JAN GC- £155.77 out of £200
FEB GC £197.31 out of £180:o. MARCH GC - out of £2000 -
When I was doing my half marathon, someone there described it as like childbirth toobertiebots wrote: »Just checking in to say week2 run 3 complete:j.

Week 2 run 3 just completed. Onto week 3 on Sunday. Not sure I will manage it, I thought I was never going to finish todays run, but I got there in the end, but don't think I could have run another step.0
