    hey there peops!

You are all doing so well! Keep up the good work :j

I however have veered off the couch to 5k route, due to being unwell again but have still managed to have 2 outings of my own week 1. I have created my own MP3 file of music and intervals etc which I am naming Unfit to 5k lol and at some point will try to make available for free if anyone else struggles with week 1 run 1 or just wants an english accent telling them what to do lol.
Hopefully Wednesday will be my return to form. :D

    Hello :)

Gosh, you're all doing really well - well done!

Drea - Trust me the 5 min on Week 4 really isn't that bad. I think it was at this point that I realised I wasn't thinking about the time any more :T I know it's a cliche, but it's really not as bad as you think it will be.

Well, I've finished Week 4 today. I overslept on Friday so didn't get to do Week 4 Run 3, so did it today ( I run Mon, Wed, and Fri - have weekends "off" lol) and really pushed myself on the last min like the man says to :D

So, I've had a look ahead at Week 5 and *gulp* A 20 min run. Crikey!!!!

I also found out yesterday that my church is doing a "fun" run of 3.5 miles, and I'm debating if I should give it a go. I think I might do actually, I guess it's some kind of incentive to push on. Although I won't have completed the programme by then, but there's no reason why I can't do intervals on it.

Hope you're all enjoying the fabulous sunshine :)

Just done wk3 run2... felt fine, job done! I'm making more of an effort to glug back a glass of water about half an hour before I run, as I think dehydration was the problem during wk2 (and running too fast).

I dare say I'm looking forward to wk4!

Started on my 2nd week this morning (yes, I am among the "lark" people - up at 5.30 & out by quarter to 6 - no one to look at me at that time of day!) Anyway was surprised I could run for longer than last week - got further too.
I run/walk up the 'main' road to the next village, which is a mile away, then turn round at the half way part of the run, and come back again! Last week I got as far as the bus stop just before the junction, this week I got to go a little way round the corner after the junction. Can't believe I'm doing this!!!!

Just got back from the thousandth run of Week 2 - I am still trying to do the 3 runs in a week before moving up a level. I thought would find it really hard today, but got through it ok, apart from my "brisk" walks feeling like I'm crawling along. My distance definitely wasn't as good today. But glad I got out there and did it.

Wow, we certainly have a lot of peeps on the thread now - it's great to hear how everyone is going. I am going to finish week 2 this week!!! Next run Thursday morning :) Enjoy this sunshiny day :)

Week 2 run 2 completed today (again in the gym on the treadmill). I have to say I could have easily stayed in bed this morning - but I kicked myself out of bed, walked the dog then went to the gym for my run. I feel a little bit tired and sore from my run - aching muscles, but I'm glad I did it.
