Just been for Run 2 of Week 3, found it easier than the first one, it's really warm outside but there's a wind that was nice.Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0

Thanks to everyone for the advice.belfastgirl23 wrote: »Well first things first, do you have any ideas why you were feeling sick? Were you particularly hungry/tired/dehydrated? Was the weather helping or causing problems? Were there any hills?
My biggest suggestion would be that you were going too fast and need to slow down. this is possible even if you are going at a snail's pace (and believe me I'm talking from experience here). When moving up a week, I run at almost walking pace - I'm figuring what I'm trying to do is get the principal of running established and I can work on speed later. And I really do try to keep it on the flat as much as possible.
But there's nothing to stop you doing another week 2 run again if you choose, that's the great thing about the programme, you set your own pace.
Just don't give up!!
edited to say you might also be living somewhere where the air quality is compromised a little because of the whole volcanic thing...do you think that might be part of it?
On Tuesday I went out about an hour after my dinner and felt sick. So on Thurs I went out without eating much (was thinking dinner on Tues maybe made me sick) and I felt even worse! Tomorrow I'm going to try to eat some fruit before I go and see if that's any better.
Oh, and I'm jogging preeeeetty darn slowly -- not sure I can go any slower without stopping! I will consciously make the effort to go as slow as possible tomorrow.
Feel slightly better about the whole thing today anyway, so I've decided I'll go straight onto wk3 run1 and see how it goes0 -
Good morning everyone, it's gorgeous out there (well, in Northampton anyway!:D)
Have overcome my demons and done Wk4, Run 1. Managed it all (although did pause it for a minute to walk up a hill). So excited as didn't go last night as couldn't face it.
Not sure about Ullrey's choice of music though. It's generally not my taste but tend to think it's well suited to pace etc. However the 2nd 5min track is horrendous - had to turn it all off as soon as I'd finished, couldn't face the cool down music!
Have a good weekend running everyone - lets hear your stories. Now proud Mumto3 :j0 -
Well I thought I'd be in Cardiff this weekend so wasn't planning on running but looks like tomorrow I'll be doing the last run of Week 3 (bloomin' volcano).
Well done mumto3, the dreaded week 5 is creeping up on you! :eek:Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0 -
Well done mumto2. You're doing great:D Totally agree with you about his choice of music but I've got used to it now I just think of it as part of the torture;)Enough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D0

Ok I know I am not the first person to be going through this but how hard is it to get a darn mp3 player to work???:o
I am about to launch it out the window as I have spent the last 2 and a half hours trying to download week 2 podcast on to the @$***&^ thing arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh:mad:! Lol.
It plays on the media player -syncs to my mp3, but then wont play on my mp3 and my mp3 is empty. I cant figure out what I am doing wrong!!!!
I thaught it would take me about 3 minutes...I am now going to go sulk in my sunny back garden- calm down and try again later.
I wish modern tech was as simple as everyone says it is. I am begining to think it has a built in programme to confuse and laugh at anyone over the age of 35:rotfl::rotfl:
Well done everyone btw you are all amazing;)JAN GC- £155.77 out of £200FEB GC £197.31 out of £180:o. MARCH GC - out of £200

Damn technology - I'm beginning to think a lot of us fit the same mould here!
Bertibots - you are using the MP3 version to download aren't you (apolgies if I'm insulting your tech ability).
I'm trying to add some extra songs so that I can escape from Mr Ullrey's dance trance as soon as I've done the run. They are there, but won't play - what's that all about...
Right, back to the sunny gardenNow proud Mumto3 :j0 -
bertibots there is one huge advantage to being even older than all of you. .............................................................................................I get my teenagers to do the technical bits:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Enough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D0
