It wasn't as bad as it seemed - I did it yesterday. Let out a very loud 'woohoo' when I'd done the first one
Do you know, I've made an assumption that we are all 'ladies' on this thread - are there any men???
Okay, will try week 3 on Tuesday
If I die... I blame youJust because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0 -
Hi there mumto2 I made the same assumption on the old thread and was merrily talking about wobbily bits and bras when when idiophreak admitted he was a man:eek:

Hi everyone, I did my week one run one today. I did it on the treadmill so I knew the speed I was running at. I followed that with 30 mins swimming which may not have been such a good idea as I had to have a nap when I came home. Can I join the gang please :-)?Never let your sucesses go to your head and never let your failures go to your heart.:beer:0

I should be going onto week 3 really (just did my 4th run of week 2 ) but I just don't think I'm ready for it... not that I've looked to see what it is :rotfl:
Oh me too Drea ... i have now done 4 lots of the Week 2 podcast because of the easter hols and a slightly sore ankle that I didn't want to run on ... and now i'm thinking i'll do week 2 again next week as I don't seem to make it to the third run and am struggling the whole way through ... i think you then go onto 3 min runs in week 3, so am putting that off !!!
Looking forward to getting back out there tho, there are some very inspiring and motivating peeps on this thread ... i feel guilty that I haven't kept up! I'll be a good girl next week tho
Keep up the great work all!Couch to 5K Running 2009/2010/2011
I'm all about the freebies!!0 -
OMG!!! Just done week 1 run 2. Probably should have done it earlier when it wasn't quite so hot out there. Went a different way this time and I almost made it to 1 mile there and the same back, so just under 2 miles. Not bad really. I think a nice warm bath is called for now.0

Aftenoon all!
Well after doing week 1 run 2 yesterday, I've not been out again today, however I did climb a mountain!! Admittedly a very small one, but a mountain nontheless!!! I feel very proud lol. And completely exhausted. Run 3 planned for tomorrow :-)0 -
Hi everyone
Well back on track again. Even better than back on track actually, I decided to start running by distance rather than length of time (you will all notice it says 25 mins or 2.5 milesit turns out my 2.5 miles is actually 29 minutes, told you I was slow). I'm counting this as week 7 run 1. My biggest challenge is getting myself out during the week, I have a load of other exercise commitments and it's difficult to get the space to do the running around them. But I will sit down tonight and work out my run times, would love to be doing the 2.75 mile run this day week.
I am quite pleased with myself, I ran a different way this time since it was 2.5 miles, and I realised that I'd tried doing some running on that route years ago and it had been a disaster. Would never have believed I could run that distance! I also went on to swim 40 lengths (skintlass I think the swimming after running is really good, means you get a really good stretch out) then to do several hours of admittedly gentle gardening, plus a very little bit of cycling, just trying out my bike for size again after the winter. I will certainly sleep well tonight!
Juno alas £100 is what the shoes costso don't feel bad about it. At least that's the only unavoidable cost so you should view it as an 'up front' investment. Banwa I reckon you should start with week 6 or 7 on the coolrunning plan and build up from there. Teachergirl yay you
Everyone else, keep with it. Believe me when I say if I can do this, it is do-able.0
