Wow, good luck with that Becky :) I hope you run well.

I have just got back from wk1 run2! I didn't intentionally run faster, but I seemed to get about 200m further than first time around - I know this because I run around the same green every time.

Anyway, that's that done with for another two days :D Saw a couple of other joggers out and about... some of them are so fast and they all run non-stop. I cant' wait for it to start feeling easier!

Thanks for the encouragement becky_rtw and the best of luck for your marathon!
I must admit I've started looking at other runners with their I-Pods on and wondered if any of them were people I am speaking to on here:D ( I hate to say it but especially if they are going really slowly but determinedly.)
lets hope we will all get to the 9 week stage.:j

I've been looking at people wondering if they are doing the Couch to 5k programme if they stop to walk :rotfl:

Good luck with the marathon becky :)

I did my Week 2, Run 2 today and really struggled :( I'm surprised I managed to finish it and was so thankful when an April shower came on and cooled me down a bit! I must have looked a wreck to everyone else :rotfl:

It's funny some days the running feels okay but others (like today) it's so much more difficult...

I'm too scared to look at the week 2 run... :o 60 second run, 90 secs walk is hard enough right now.

    Well done to everyone today:j

I am looking after 5 kids (ok so 3 are mine lol!)tomorrow so wont have time to do my week 2, run#2 till friday. But I am going to walk to the park with them all..(the same one I run to!) and I am going to do it as quickly as possible:D
Becky I am very impressed! I had a dream of running the london marathon when I was a teen , but life took over and I stopped running by the time I left school. Now I am nearly 37 and just starting again:o....I wonder if there is still hope:rotfl:.
I hope you dont mind me asking all but whats the age of my fellow couch spuds??;)

...Drea, I think until our fitness levels increase this is going to be a bit of a roller coaster ride;). No pain -no gain (I hate that saying but it is SO true:eek:)

I actually found the 90 second run easier and with a 2 minute walk in between gives you loads of time to recover..but I was glowing by the time I got home:rotfl:felt like I had left the heating on full blast when I walked through my front door;).
    It really isnt too terrible:)

Feeling really ancient now. I'm 46:o.
Well done for asking bertiebots...I've often wondered myself. You sound just like me.Often thought I would love to run the marathon even though I hated running at school. I think I liked the idea rather than the reality. Then life got in the way. Earlier this year I decided if I did not make an effort soon then it really might become too late.:)
    So keep going everyone.
