Morning everyone. I did week 4 run 3 this morning and I don't ache anywhere near as much as I did on Tuesday. Thank you for your suggestion about decathlon Sammy_girl.:A I have to go to lakeside tomorrow anyway.(I hate the place but every now and then it has to be done...we need some bits from IKEA)I checked their website but I can't see if you need to make an appointment to have your running analysed. Anyone know? I'd hate to have to go twice.
Drea there is no mention on here of you running yesterday;) Did you or didn't you?
Well done mumto2 and ginzvt.
Keep going everyone.:)Enough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D0 -

Hello everyone:wave:
I have been lurking for a few days and now have decided to join!
Im at family for Easter but from Wednesday I will start this. Just wondering about a few practical questions. Do you all hold your ipod? Where do you put keys etc..? And do you need water?
Hope you dont mind me jumping in:o:)In art as in love, instinct is enough

Welcome artybear! Everyone is lovely and friendly on here, you'll get lots of support (and a bit of a push is you go for a sneaky chinese)
If I need to take a key, I take it off the keyring so I don't jingle jangle. I'm holding my ipod in my hand as it flew out of my pocket on my 1st run, so was worried about damaging it. Now I'm worried about being mugged. I don't take water at moment, but have lots to drink when I get home. Tesco's do those bottles with a hole in the middle which look nice and easy to hold if you want to take some water.
Good luck for when you start. Now proud Mumto3 :j0 -

Hey :hello:
I have a small ipod nano sized pocket in my trousers so I pop my ipod in there and any money if I want to buy something on the way back. I've been wearing a normal hooded top which has pockets, one pocket for my phone and the other for my keys. Don't really need my phone but I like to have it with me.
I won't have the hooded top on during summer though so will probably just squeeze my keys into my trouser pocket (and wreck my nano) and not bother with the phone.
mumto2 - I have no idea what you are talking about :A :rotfl:Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0 -
Welcome artybear. So far it has been so cold when I have been running my keys and ipod fit in the pocket of my fleece:D
My ipod is an old hefty one but it has a case with a clip on it and I could clip it to my trousers. Also so far I have not needed any water...maybe I am just not working hard enough:)
Oh Drea,I would so love a chinese;) but fell off the keep fit wagon with a large bowl of ben and Jerrys instead.Enough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D0 -

Welcome paddypaws101 lots of newbies this is exciting.:j
No you don't have to have an Ipod. You can just get a list of what you have to do and when from www.coolrunning.com we are following the couch to 5k programme. It's just that some of us find it easier to do what we are "told" when the podcast tells us to.The link for that is in Drea's first post. We are a friendly bunch here so enjoy:)Enough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D0
