The process with Abbey & A&L is shocking at the moment..regardless of Easter....

2 months applying with A& L and still going - it's going to be nearly 2 weeks just to get the results of valuation, probably the most important part.

And it's only for a remortgage. It's quite clear that some people - not using brokers are getting through more quickly than using a broker.

If I was a broker I would be supplying this evidence and jumping up and down and shouting at the regional directors because this is not helping supporting taking broker advice when you can walk in off the high street and get better service. This probably only applies on a straight forward case.

Managing expectations of poor service!....Applications sitting in a Q for 10 days before being looked at and then returned to the Q when they say they have an outstanding requirement...The so called outstanding requirement has been there in the first place and the u/writer has not exerted the effort to look.....Then they won't prioritise even when it is clearly an error on their part...Has to wait in the Q for the u/writer again.....Clients deserve better..........

I agree that lenders are poor at time but sometimes brokers promise to much. They know how lenders are and at times dont do enough to prevent longer delays.
