  • Hola peeps!

Vix you just suceeded in making me literally LOL...kind of a squeaky snort of laughter actually :rotfl::rotfl:

An STS for me again this week. I'm using my housemates scales but they are rubbish: the kind you have to tap with you toe, they flash up "00.00" for a millisecond and you have just leap on them at the right moment otherwise they freeze for a second then go "----" think it took me five attempts this morning!! (does anyone actually know what I mean by this??). Plus they just weigh to the nearest lb and I would really like some increments.
So, who has a recommendation for some good, but not too expensive, scales? Maybe with a bodyfat function too?

We were learning cha cha cha at salsa last night - rather tricky but so much fun! Hopefully this will help in the quest for slimmer legs and less of a spare tyre round my middle! (I'm sure all that wiggling works your core muscles!)

Mine are salter, glass ones all singing and dancing BMI, body mass, bone density all that stuff, amazon do them, debenhams were reduced from £40 to £!5 I think they had loads but it was a while ago but I know amazon were selling them, there is no need to pay loads for a set of scales even if they are a known make because they always have sales on and discounts...:D

    Back again after another sleeps.
Victory - fantastic result of 100%:T. As for that woman - well, just mean spirited really. There is a way of saying things and it should have been. a week after this result and said in a way to encourage not put down and spoil your moment.

Dinah - glad to hear you are eating more again. That's were differnt eating plans require a huge committment to meal plan so you do have enough to eat.
Is you knee prob the cruciate? That was the keyhole my employer had and she had good results from the op.

Vix :rotfl:(But I do like men to be men and not do all the waxing stuff - bad enough what society pressures us into)
    granny:rotfl::rotfl:
sary - taint a sckness bug, just over exhaustion + migriane:(

Eric - i will be demanding photos:D a la 'readers wives':rotfl: and well done for the loss.

Margaret - well done on not putting any on and keeping at it

hezza - new job, so not suprising it will take a while o get on not of new regime and how to tackle what you eat.

UnluckyT -it is very hard when you are feeling low, so well done for not putting more on. Is there anyway you can choose lower fat/sugar treats to comfort eat with? And I can't help wishing you had chosen a different user name:o Becasue whatever has happened in the past, does not have to set the pattern for the future and you can make better luck for yourself.

EDIT: thanks mazza- it has perked me up I must say, lol.
heatherberry - yes I have scales like that! But I do get about 4 secs to leap on them so it is ok.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

It is a known fact that exercise gets the hormones going, the adrenalin up and makes you feel calmer, happier and less stressed, all the docs recommend exercise even if it is just walking in the fresh air, my MIL suffered from depression and she still says to this day the only thing that did not finally send her crazy was the walking in the fresh air to clear the head and feel alive:D

I'm certain you are right victory and I need some of those exercise endorphins (or dolphins as OH calls them!) today - I've had a crappy headache all day and I will need to go swimming tonight - I'm doing a sponsored swim next weekend and I've done next to no training for it so need to get in that pool!!:D

BB - yep settling down into a new routine is challenging especially given the amount of travelling I need to do and the lack of healthy choices at stations and airports (I dont call overprocessed cereal bars "healthy"). The canteen in the office is grim - I had a tuna salad yesterday that was inedible, I mean how can you get a tuna salad wrong !!!!!! - these clowns somehow managed it. I gave up on it and had a Twix instead. Need to get a grip NOW cos that's slippery slope. They dont even have decaf tea so I have to bring in my own t-bags (in fact I think drinking normal tea is what's brought on my headache, either that or the glass of wine I had last night !!:D
