Don't forget to report back! I'll be proud! :j
Great post BB, hope you're feeling much better tomorrow.
Granny we need to get you back on the wagon!
It's been a good day here today, I did a tough trail run which was really hard work, but I've now met my 1100km running distance target for the year to end Sept... and it's still only July!0 -
Here's this weeks chart:
Congrats to our SotW efrieze.
Well done to all our losers and stsers and commiserations to our gainers.
Don't give up, we all know we can lose weight, how to do it in theory, and also all the benefits for us if we lose weight. We all have bad days/weeks/months/years* (* delete as appropriate) but we also know if we stick at it we will get there even if we get incredibly frustrated on the way.
Many of us have more in common than a desire to lose weight (even if we don't know it yet) and many of you inspire me (and I'm sure others too) to keep going after weeks of STSor gains.
We don't lose weight because of what's going on in our lives but in many cases inspite of it. This thread keeps us focused on trying even when everything else is falling apart or carping down on us again. In many cases that means that gains are minimised and STS are achieved and the risk of falling back into the vicious circle is reduced.
Every loss is something to be celebrated - even if it's 0.01 lb. We are our harshest critics, we know when we've been less than perfect, when the guilt monster appears and is deserved, when we've done so well during the week/month/year but nothings budged on the scales. Some people appear to make losing weight easy - I'm sure we all know such people. But everyone in here is in for the long haul. We know how hard it is for each other, with illness, medication, family or work problems. That is our bond with each other - we all bring something to each other (most times without realising), and sometimes we have to give ourselves permission to be allowed not to be perfect.
Mmm - looking at the length of that I'd better skip the quote for this week0 -
Thanks as ever to Fred for the chart.
My extra walking didn't quite go to plan, we're not quite as short staffed as we may have been and been kept indoors the past 2 days.
Dreading Saturday, will be out on a delivery duty, battling with the big orange walk that's on here. Traffic will be a nightmare!!!
I don't mind the walks of any sorts, but I object to them delaying me on my duty.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
Thanks for the chart fred - and wise words, I've been feeling low all week (for all sorts of reasons, not just the lack weight gain) and your post has cheered me up a little bit.£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250
