2lb loss for me please Fred! :j

Eric sorry you're not losing as much as you'd like and you're in pain :( hope you feel better soon. A loss is still a loss, and it's very admirable that you are going through all this stuff with your heath but still managing not to gain. Chin up.

its not a loss thou, im still the same stone and lbs i was last week

more over at the giant whale size i am i should be dropping 4lb+ with ease, my RMR is still 3700 cals ...

and i am now in so much pain i cant even walk let alone train

as always life sh1ts on you from up high every chance it gets

i really cant be bothered anymore ...............

Well done losers, and commiserations to any gains.
I've found the scales again... they were in the dining room! Isn't that where every organised family keeps their's? It seems my 12 y/o had wanted to weigh himself to see if he has made any progress. Pleased to say he's lost 2lb in the past month or so, which I'm so proud of him for achieving. I know he's having to exert a great deal of restraint outside the home when it comes to offers of sweets & rubbish food from friends. I think their new extra healthy lunches I'm making are doing the trick too, in keeping them full, but lower on the calories.

Anyway, STS for me this week, again! It's mid TOTM time, so hoping that'll reflect in a loss by next week. I'm feeling rather determined to really kick-start again. My weight is weighing heavy on my mind most of the time, which means I'm very unhappy about it. I have a wedding to go to early next month, and a trip to visit a friend mid-August, so I'm setting those as my interim targets to aim to have lost a few lbs by. I think the key for me is to log everything I eat, and to measure the portions more accurately.

Margaretclare - that looks like a gorgeous B+B. I hope you have a lovely time, and the hospitality will no doubt be a very warm Irish one. I loved my time staying just outside Dublin many years ago.

Eric - I hope you're feeling much better soon. There's a few people contributing here who have to battle with the negative effects of drugs, whilst trying to lose weight, so I'm sure you'll find very sympathetic ears there. I know your determination will not diminish, but please remember to be kind to yourself too. Have a day resting, and see if that resolves the problems by tomorrow perhaps?

I feel inspired to do some decorating again, and should make the most of the warmer weather to do so. Off to have a look at some paint colours now, and may have some inspiration to crack on with doing the hall/stairs/landing soon. It may end up just being magnolia if I get desperate. £ is a big issue at the moment, but I don't have enough old pots of paint to go that far. I could really do with getting the woodchip off the walls too, but it's such a huge job, the ceilings are very high, and I don't think, even with our stepladder, that I can reach right to the top of the walls to strip it. I'm sure just a brighter colour will help, according to my OH it's been the same colour since he moved in 8 years ago (and it's a horrid sandy brown - urgh)!
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Eric - haven't you been here before? I seem to remember when you rejoined this forum last year you'd lost weight, given up, regained, then started again. Does that sound familiar? Its easy for us to say "dont give up" but we're not you. I can only point out (as if you need it, you're an intelligent bloke) that you're in danger of being sucked into that viscious cycle again. Think about it for day or two, then decide (like sary says). After all, you've invested a lot of ££s in all your exercise equipment and some day you'll be well enough to use it all again. And we'll miss you if you go.;)

A little help needed from the green-fingered among you please!

I'm looking for a plant for my MIL's grave that is perennial, hardy, can survive on in west coast soil (Somerset), isn't too big (she was cremated so it's only a small plot) and will bloom from April (when she died) to September (her birthday). I'm thinking some kind of miniature rose bush but are there any other ideas? The plot will be well tended by my FIL so pruning etc wont be a problem.

    Thanks peeps!

im giving up in general, cant be bothered, life just craps on you

you have to wonder at doctors some times, giving a patient 2 drugs both of which cause weight gain, a large amount of physical pain and both cause depression when the patients been battling with being a jumbo blob and massive chronic depression for 10 years :(
