    Ninth Anniversary
Hi everyone, well my first week and I have a 2lb gain :mad: Not a good start!!! I did say in the beginning that I was hoping to lose inches instead of lbs but its still depressing. I'm blaming TOTM which started today so I'm feeling generally rubbish.

    Onwards and upwards though ;)

Eric this sounds like something you need to take up with your doctor(s) - I'm sure you have already discussed it but it might be worth revisiting the issue with them and trying to devise an eating and exercise plan to suit your medication and health issues - perhaps they are clashing at the moment?? medication can mess your system up so it's worth at least checking if there's anything you or they can change to alleviate some of your stress. Keep your chin up though mate.

they have cocked up in so many ways i cant even be bothered to list it

they didnt even give me the warning pack for the bloody drugs and the nurse had the nerve to have a go at me for it ...

and there only playing the odds by giving them to me, its just to reduce the odds of me having a stroke during the DC cardioversion and its probably a 1-2% chance reduction, 6 months of feeling like crap just for that ...

I don't really have any advice Eric -- you ARE the Erich-meister. But I can tell you that if you give up what you're doing so successfully (OK not this week but overall) you'll just put it all back on again. That's what I'm busy doing and it just makes you feel even more cr&ppy. Don't give up Eric. We've all got faith in you.

(Don't do as I do, do as I say .... granny goes off to condsider listening to what she's just said .....)

Nice to see you here again, Efrieze.
  • I am happily reporting a 3LB LossThanks Fred

Onwards and upwards as they say ...... I dropped my calories by about 100 for a few days and not sure if that is what helped. Also going to try and up the exercise next week as have a week off work :j so going to try a few things I haven't done before (will tell more if it happens ;)) See Missy what an influence you are having on me :p

Well done to all the losers this week :T

Eric - I'm not even sure what to say to you ..... I think a fews days rest and then a good kick up the bottom by SWMBO to get you to stop being so hard on yourself

Fellpony - I hope you feel better after the good cry and well done for not eating the fridge ..... It wouldn't have tasted any good anyway ;)

Rosieposie - Well done on your loss :T Have a good time away and I am sure with all the work you will be doing you will come back even thinner :D I will take my inspiration from you as I can only dream of being 13 stone ATM

efrieze & Missy - glad it is not just me :rotfl: I have to double check each week to make sure they are not fobbing me off :rotfl: And yes I have done the move it round 4 times to get the best place on the floor

Hezza - I like the idea of your minature rose, there is one on my dad's grave in cornwall and if looked after regularly they will not get too big HTH

    sts for me plese fred

Just a quick visit peeps as feeling peeky and a big day tomorrow.

Eric: it is very hard if the medication is also affecting your mental reserves and leaving you feeling down. It's hard to fight that.
When I go through really carp times with my medication, and my future seems to have been swiped away, I just stop thinking.
First sign of that overwhelmed feeling and how life has been trashed I switch off the brain cells as much as possible and focus on the small tiny good things -which having been very ill on my own for a number of years, can be as simple as the relief and pleasure of having a loving partner for company, even if there is nothing they can do.
    Don't give up.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

I didn't get included in the chart last week.

Hi I didn't include you as you didn't post the amount you'd lost - only what you currently weigh. If you let me know how much you lost I'll correct your entry for last week.

Fred- could you just check for me that that should bring me to a total loss on the chart of 47lb, not sure if there has been a couple of weeks i have missed reporting. that brings me slap-bang on 13st. (much much better that the 18st 2lb i was when i went travelling two and a half years ago and and the 16st 5lb i joined you guys at!)

Have checked and you're correct on the chart. Congrats on the loss.

I like both Spain and Holland so don't mind who wins on Sunday (as long as it doesn't go to penalties)
