A lot of us are on medication Eric as Im sure you know.
It can complicate things but no one ever said life was going to be easy.
I plod on & try the best I can manage most of the time.

    i know, i know

but i just spent 10 years wasted, battling feeling like crap every day with chronic depression, and now on these drugs i feel as bad as i ever did, and 100 times worse than i was not on them... i really do not see the point in taking something that makes you feel worse than you where before you started, a lot lot worse ...

I've not taken you off the chart :D

Do you want to be pinked and restart on the chart (I'll add your 4.8lb loss for the last 2 weeks if you are).

I think I would like to be pinked (not sure what it means but it sounds good!). Thanks to brightonbelle and missy for the welcome backs!

A loss of 3.8lbs this week taking total loss in last 3 weeks to 8.6lbs. Hoping that the loss will motivate me to stick with it. Too many false starts of late.

I have a wedding to go to abroad at the end of August (7 weeks) and I meant to concentrate well in advance of it and get some serious weight off but now I think my target realistically will be to be 20lbs off by then. If I achieve that, I guess I should be happy that I am going in the right direction...so far to go though:o:o...but only one way to do it.

Eric this sounds like something you need to take up with your doctor(s) - I'm sure you have already discussed it but it might be worth revisiting the issue with them and trying to devise an eating and exercise plan to suit your medication and health issues - perhaps they are clashing at the moment?? medication can mess your system up so it's worth at least checking if there's anything you or they can change to alleviate some of your stress. Keep your chin up though mate.

Well done on your loss efrieze! 3.8lb is a great (and rather specific!) loss :)

    hello all!

sorry ive been very quiet lately. my internt here is very slow and sometimes just isnt worth the hassle!!
    hope your all well!
i would like to report a loss of 3lb this week please fred. (well, over the last 2 weeks tbh)
Fred- could you just check for me that that should bring me to a total loss on the chart of 47lb, not sure if there has been a couple of weeks i have missed reporting. that brings me slap-bang on 13st. (much much better that the 18st 2lb i was when i went travelling two and a half years ago and and the 16st 5lb i joined you guys at!)

well, i leave for rwanda in just under a week now!!! iam so excited i cannot wait!! im going to throughly enjoy myself! althhough i will be living with locals and doing physical work, im sure im probably the only person in the world who could go to africa and put on weight!! lol!!!but we will see!

take care all! speak soon !! xx

Congratulations on getting to 13 st!! :T An amazing acheivement.

Eric some times the meds take a while to settle in to your system before you start feeling better again, lets hope that this is the case.
I am not happy with my doctors, they took bloods from me before the wedding, I phoned up when we got back from honeymoon for my results and get the response "oh, your bloods weren't processed, can you come in and have them done again?" Great, not only do I have to be butchered again by a maniac with a needle fetish (I hate needles!) but I have to take another half day out from my bizzarrly hectic life to travel the 20 mile round trip. Grrrrrr. So my arm is now full of holes again.
I also got the news last night that a ex-friends daughter, 5 years old, has just been diagnosed with leukemia. Am trying to resist the urge to eat the entire contents of the fridge and cupboard. Not good, I have a good cry but am left feeling very numb.
You never know how strong you are until you have no other option.

that's cool - mine try to be accurate to the 1/2 or 1/4 but I tend to just ignore that bit coz it's so fickle that if I get on and off a few times it'll be different by 3/4 of a lb each time!!

I tried that this morning - stood on again hoping 10 seconds would make the different to round it up to a 4lb loss, but the scales knew what I was trying to do and didn't succumb to my requirements!!! It did waver between the two for a while though just to keep me on my toes (literally!)

Mine measure in tenths of a kg, I only do my official weigh in once a month so I tend to weigh twice and make sure they're the same (or at least within 0.1kg). If not I'd go for 2 out of 3 but I don't think that's happened yet! :D

I do remember moving them around the bathroom floor trying to get a better result once :o:rotfl:. Probably first weigh in back after a holiday!!!
