Well after a lovely weekend I am having a truly rubbish day. Can't get my head into my work which means I'll be working late tonight and OH will be annoyed with me. Feel all confused about what to do about my job, my life, etc, and ended up scoffing toast and biscuits in a panic to distract myself. I want to change things but I dont have the money right now to fix any of my problems and sometimes it just all gets on top of me. OH is so rational and sensible but I want change now and I don't want to wait. I dont like where we live and it costs a fortune but he wont want to move. And I have no idea what to do about work coz it seems no matter what I try I can't find anything I truly like doing which is really depressing...
Sorry to rant I am just so annoyed with myself for eating rubbish and not getting my work done... :(

I just started The Dukan Diet which is a high protein, low carb diet which is very easy to follow.

I've lost 5lb in 6 days so very happy with that.

Arghh hungry but don't know what to have. Unfortunately all I have in is cous cous based meals, which i don't fancy, so I have to make a trip to the supermarket whilst hungry. This may not end well!
  • What a catch up that was

sorry if I forget anyone but I have just read so much and it was for 4 days......

Fellpony - Congrats, I am glad the weather stayed good for you.

Victory - Sorry I wasn't around to help but I think what BettyB recommended sounded good. I wait with baited breath to see what the outcome is though  Also the fly screen thing sounded messy, hope you managed to get the super glue off the floor

Eric - YUCK!!!! I will never look at sweetcorn the same way again :p Sorry you seem to be having a time of it at the moment but perhaps it is your body settling to the new meds. Just keep it up and I am sure things will settle :)

Vixarooni - Well done on your run :T hope you have a nice holiday

Hezza - Hope you are feeling better today ?

BettyB - Please don't be too hard on yourself, I am sure you can Syn value your toast and things, get yourself on the free food and damage diverted. Sorry things are not great but I am sure you can sort yourself out and take tomorrow as a new day :D

Brightonbelle - Hope the funeral wasn't too traumatic for you and you recover from your trip to Burger King.

Best thing to do is take a deep breath and deal with one problem at a time, don't jumble them all up into a head-ache inducing panic OMG:eek: what to do mess....

Make a list of pros of cons from each problem....

Take advice from OH who is rational and sensible, friends and family, the more advice can be more confusing but it can also be more eye opening.

Every problem has a solution, it may not be immediately, or the one you wanted, or maybe just a compromise for now but there is the answers out there.

Work wise, write down or think of what you are good at and tailor it to that, some people are a whizz at making cakes and make a living from that or brilliant at sports and become a p.e teacher, or their hobbies make them money or they go self employed, everyone has something they shine at, their speciality, find it it is there somewhere.

My 16 year old son made me laugh today when he got in from work, I asked him how his day was 'long and boring and they don't let me sit down, mum I have been on my feet all day' oh the innocence of youth:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I just told him to think about the money:rotfl:

Advice from all our exercise freaks out there. I am expecting a really bad week at work this week, due to too many being on holiday and poor management.
I am looking for some good work out music. Something that will make me walk a wee bit faster so I can perhaps get a couple of early finishes. Going through my rock collection atm, and have got stuck on Alice Cooper. Suggestions on a postcard please, what kind of music makes u work that wee bit harder when u're exercising?

Generally anything poppy/dancy (normally a little cheesy :o) - it's amazing how much rubbish I would never normally listen to I will tolerate when I'm exercising.:p
