de1amo - yes tomorrow is here! busy cooking my porridge and slicing a banana at the mo - though I dont think I'll manage the bacon and poached eggs too  might save those for lunch
victory - so proud of you :T
Gorgeous day today and I am *ahem* working from home as DS has an inset day (I still dont understand why they have these, I started a thread in the Arms to challenge it once and I just got a load of mouth from teachers up & down the country). Is there any greater pleasure in life than hanging out washing on a day like this (apart from clean sheets & naked flesh that is)

I'll go with the clean sheets which were last nights smell luxury:D but not with the naked flesh:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: cut grass and the smell as you open the patio door of a gentle aroma of the honeysuckle in the garden, oh and I am with SJP from sex and the city, the smell of library books:D
My eldest finished yesterday and he has organized a party today has asked if he can have alcohol and I have agreed(what kind of mother does that make me?:rotfl::rotfl:) only a couple each, not on the street in someones house, should be o.k
Well, today is my official carbs free day and I am nervous, I have cooked eggs, toms and mushrooms it looks weird having that for breakfast, lunch is chicken breast and veg , dinner is gammon or pork chop and veg, and that is that , I am so sick of having to jump through hoops for the diabetic team and still nothing works and as for writing everything down:eek: spreadsheets are the bain of my life these days and I have another one that is so complicated I have had to email her to ask how do I fill it in?:rotfl:
OH keeps telling me if they find out how to control it it is worth it but the last spreadsheet do this do that lasted 6 weeks before another nurse decided that was not working and put me on this lot of home tasks:D
Made me laugh when we were talking she said she was not a teacher of diabetes as I had said she was an 'educator':rotfl::rotfl:fancy words for I have read a book:rotfl:0 -
No violence has ever crossed my mind:D if it gets too much I go and make a drink for them all, take some deep breathes and smile. My eldest finished yesterday and he has organized a party today has asked if he can have alcohol and I have agreed(what kind of mother does that make me?:rotfl::rotfl:) only a couple each, not on the street in someones house, should be o.ktomorrow is here or is it the next day!!Hezzawithkids wrote: »de1amo - yes tomorrow is here! busy cooking my porridge and slicing a banana at the mo - though I dont think I'll manage the bacon and poached eggs too  might save those for lunch
Yes it is here! Sounds like you're off to a good start. I began the day by measuring out milk for a day's worth of cups of tea!! lol!
Am feeling positive. I know deep down SW is just another gimmic but sometimes when it's impossible to stick to your own rules you need someone else's to stick to!!:o
And yet another lovely day. think i'll treat myself to a walk round the park at lunchtime (maybe even break into a little bit of a jog!)Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

I have just been blasted verbally by a very unimpressed ebay buyer who thought the £1 charge for postage was extortionate when it actually cost 57p to send:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:crumbs are you sure you can be bothered to send an email for that amount of money:rotfl::rotfl:
My other half has often said they feel threatened by me because I AM THE youngest there by 2 decades on the shop floor, the boss is around my age, the supervisor is 21 years older than me, the module scores are coming up very high and they seem baffled by that:D
I asked my boss a question yesterday at work to do with my module and he said he would get back to me next week:eek: help, what help?:D
Eldest is not even out of his pit yet so no alcohol as yet to worry about:rotfl:0 -
Sorry Hezza i've bug*ered up the first day of SW - didn't realise how syn-tastic my apple juice is!!

I'm so annoyed.Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

Never mind Betty - you can have 5-15 syns a day can't you? so unless you're planning a blow-out later that's not so bad is it? how many is an apple juice anyway?
I've been running around all morning so I've only just had my late brekkie/lunch of bacon & poached eggs (no tomato sauce), planning a chilli tonight (brown rice for me, white for OH) plus a glass of vino to wash it all down. Popped into the library today and picked up a copy of SW Food with Family & Friends so that will be my bedtime reading! Have got a quite a headache at the moment so am going to take a pain killer and have a lie down for a while (must be the heat).£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250

Hezza apple juice is incredibly syn-tastic!! From concentrate (the one i get from tescos) is 13 syns in just 150ml!! that's not even half a glass. So I blew my syns without realising it then got all miserable and ate a buttload of biscuits to make myself feel better/worse!
Oh dear....
Day 1 again tomorrow!! At least I know I had done everything else right up to that point!
That book sounds good, I might start buying the mag for ideas/inspiration.
I have made a little speadsheet to add up my syns and use as a food diary to keep me going too (tech nerd!)
hope your headache goes away quickly. I woke up with a blinder of a headache this morning but I used some 4head and had a cuppa which did the trick.Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

Hi hope you all as well as can be. Had a funny old day really, started out with the intentions of trying slimming world but have been stuck in the middle of two friends, one who follows WW and one on slimming world. Each were very vocal on which plan to follow so have come home quite befuddled. Ds1 and ds2 have both come home from school in foul moods, we were taking ds2 out this evening as he's 12 today but now he doesn't want to go, he'd rather stay at home on his xbox. That says alot of what he thinks of our company doesn't it.xx0

Betty - you are going to need to be patient with your self re SW: I went to classes and I still needed to look at the book regularly every day for 3 weeks to understand: that is normal.
You are not going to pick it up in 5 minutes.
The concetrated apple juice is full of sugar you see, where as apples have all the comensating roughage, and you don't eat the amoount of raw apples that you need to fill a glass of juice.
Keep referring to the book and plan ahead and slowly over a couple of weeks, & it all start fitting into place. This is kind of why sw really like people going to classs -so you learn about it properly, get support and can ring the consultant when ever and don't give up becasue you aren't getting it right and then don't lose much.
Of course I understand all the various reasons people don't go to class. You'll get there, just don't beat yourself up when you make mistakes so early on.
Mrs Gene Hunt - you'll get to eat a lot more food on SW:D But you do need to stick to the principles to lose the weight - can't follow it in the morning with a large brekkie and then major slip up in the evening with the evening meal - the large brekkie will then totally count against you IYSWIM.
Good luck with deciding!
Hezza - clean sheets and nakedness: totally with you on that oneI try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0
