  • Hi Hezzawithkids,

Thanks for advice, mostly i tried to eat things that were as nature intended but got to admit to the odd WW meal here and there. Im really rubbish in thinking up adventurous meals for just me because to top it off hubby and ds1 and ds2 are blumming awkward and picky, gets like an all night cafe here. Have got to learn how to do those smiley thingies!
  • Hi Victory

Hope you're ok, have been reading about the rough time you've been having with the miserable people you have been putting up with at work. Its disgusting that they can treat you like that, dont know how you've managed to not cause bodily harm (not that im violent or anything).xx

    Hi all,

I hope everyone is doing good...i can not even begin to think how much I have missed...

I am soorrry, but after my mums operation and helping her (she is doing well now), I started heading off track big time and put on over a stone!! I know its terrible..

But now I am feeling great and energised and ready to conquer this weight, I have changed a lot of things, now I am taking some nutritional products, I am drinking this new superfruit drink that is making me energised and I am so ready!!

I hope everyone is doing well, looking at the charts, I am impressed Eric and Alliwantistosave..u have been doing great! congrats to SoTW Shell1000.

    Take care guys!

ok after much research I have decided to stop counting cal and do SW Extra easy instead! I am very scared - I have been counting calories (unsuccessfully) for about 6 years!!!! But it clearly isn't working as I just go over and forget etc, so the SW plan really appealed as it allows you a lot of food still but seems to work (Magic??). Anyone else here do SW???? I am just about getting my head aroud the healthy extras but have started a food diary and spreadsheet to count my syns. I'm quite excited to be honest!!!

    Hi Guys,

Wondering if I can join you? I'd feel a bit more motivated if my loss was recorded somewhere! Lol. I've been eating low calories and exercising for the last 3 weeks, I've lost 10lb so far. I have another 25lb I want to lose. I have a holiday in 3 weeks time too and would love to shed another 7-9lbs for then :-) then the rest as much as I can before mid-August before I go to a festival.

Betty -I did SW previously and really think it is great. I've not done the extra easy though, as that came in after my time at classes.
My advice is not try and 'understand' how you can eat that much as still lose weight - it you follow what they say, it really does work. Even though it doesn't seem logical. I was still able to follow my preference for minimal processed food on it too.

The previous, 'red day green day' was only very loosely following food combining principles: not enough to be classifies as food combining really. It is the only food plan I will ever follow if I find the oomph to be bothered with any plan.
De1amo is correct - there is a SW thread (on the health sub board of money saving in marraiges&families forum. Don't want to lose you but you would get up to the minute advice and encouragement tailored to SW there.

Mrs Gene HUNT(LOL) welcome to our lovely forum and well done for finally posting:T:T. As you have realise, a lot of us have health issues, and I too am on medication that affects my appetite. That is why I loved SW as I could eat a lot and still lose. Very impressed you are contemplating nursing training with fibro: hope you manage to get the balance right.

LOis - really sorry to hear something has gone pearshaped with the job:(. Good luck in your hunt.

Forgot to post for the chart!! Oh well, I'll count it as a sts anyway.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

    Thanks de1amo and Hezza!

Glad to hear it worked for you Hezza. I have decided to stick to it religiously for 2 weeks and see if it makes any difference.

Yeah there is a thread for SW I have found it and bombarded them with questions!

Is it ok if I stay on this thread too though? I won't bang on about SW I promise!!

Welcome Mrs Hunt!! :hello: Love your handle!!
If you need to cut your sugar cravings maybe the way to do it is cut out any processed foods, such as refined sugars in cakes & biscuits, "bad" carbs like white bread, rice and pasta, and anything with unnatural ingredients such as words ending in -ose and -in (takes ages to do the shopping cos you're scrutinising all the food labels, but you soon get the hang of it!). This includes ready meals such as WW ones - if you look at the list of ingredients in one of these it maked your hair curl, they add tons of crap to make up for the lack of taste:-

If you've made a habit of eating this stuff then you may get some side effects when you cut it out (headaches etc), but after that you'll find that your cravings will be gone and you'll be on your way to a happier you - plus maybe losing weight!! I try to eat food only as nature intended and cook most meals from scratch, I've even rediscovered the art of making real gravy lately instead of using packets!

Good luck on your journey and welcome to Happy Land!!
