Hi can i join please? I am currently trying to loose weight after my third baby and loose a good amount in time for my best friends wedding. How do i go about joining or what do i need to do?
    Thanks Ronnie x

    Hi Ronnie,

I do the chart each week on a Wednesday night - I normally start it around 11pm to allow people who go to weightwatchers on Wednesday evenings time to post their result. Although if your weigh day is different to Wednesday you can post your result at anytime as I go through all posts since the previous chart.

As Mazza has said if you can post it in big bold letters it makes it easier for me to spot. Also please put whether it is a gain or loss and not just a number ie 3lb loss, sometimes I have to assume if it's not clear and I get it wrong :o.

Everyone has their own method of losing weight whether they are in a club or doing it themselves. We're all very friendly and supportive - no one is here to judge you or anything even if we gain an odd pound or 2 occasionally.:o:eek:

Welcome back Bails - how long is the countdown to the big day?

well, signed up to the gym yesterday :j. I have decided to go for two things at the mo: first off, I'll spend time on the exercise bike. I want to build up my cycle fitness (currently non existant). So I spent 10 minutes on one on a fairly 'easy' setting to start with. Spent the first two minutes thinking, ooh, this is easy. Then the burning muscles started, LOL. Still completed 10 mins which is a great start.
Then I went for my 2nd swim of the week and did 20 mins of that: still the only one in the pool:D.
I aim to go every wed an fri at the mo.

Beanie - congrats on SOTW:T:T and Eric for SOTM :T:T

And bails - that's wonderful that you are happy with your current size & shape and how you look in your wedding dress and are not putting your self under pressure to achieve more. You will look fantastic as you are. Any toning or weight loss you do achieve is then a happy bonus.

Welcome to the forum Ronnie - just join in :)
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

It is quiet here at the moment.

Im eating such rubbish, KFC last night (not my choice) and then a frankie and bennies meal (just to get out of the house). I had a chinese friday, and then another meal booked in for tuesday.

On the good side of things, i bought a maxi dress! I think it makes me look fat though, i so need a second opinion on it.

It is quiet here today. I'll hope that means everyone is enjoying the bank holiday weekend.
Not doing much here especially. Household chores here for me today, a stack of ironing, and then being a PC guru for my stepson who had a major problem with his laptop. All sorted now, and I'm stunned sometimes at how adept I am on the PC considering I've not really been in the workplace for 17 years & am completely self-taught. Nonetheless, he now has access to his programs again, and can get online.

The children are all home this week, so chances are I won't be on here much. In case I don't remember to log on Wednesday, my loss last week was -2lb, but if I have another loss this week (unlikely because I made h/m apple crumble today) I'll let you know fred.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home

i have been eating like a king on a calory counting diet-never ate so much! doing 3800 cals of exercise a week and in 7 days on my plan from myfitnesspal i have lost 3lbs---i cant eat all that they suggest because i just havent got the stomach for it all--i was under the target by 2800 cals in the week--i hit most of the other targets and was over on fiber and under on sat fats--any idea what the disadvantages of being over those 2 things are??

Welcome back Bails! :D Congrats on the job, and good luck with the fitness/toning!

Hi Ronnie! Come on in and join us, what plan/method are you using for your weight loss?

BB great to hear about your gym, lucky thing having the pool to yourself ;). Hope it continues to go well for you, and that you enjoy building up your fitness :).

I gained 0.4kg this month, and ideally I now want to lose 1.5-2kg so it's the same old story :rotfl:. I don't think it's sensible to cut my calorie intake any further at the moment though, as these are my peak weeks for exercising and I need 'fuel' for everything I have planned.

So I'll stick to what I'm doing atm, and then see where I am after I've (hopefully) completed all my summer targets at end July :). This week I ticked off one of my three 'longer than half marathon distance' runs, so things are going well :D.

I really need to make time for training, one more week and my lunchtimes and evenings are mine again. Was planning on going for a run at 6am each day but I am so not a morning person. Seem to have a lot of social eangagements over the next few weeks (and over the last few weeks) so god knows what impact that''ll have, although the food's fairly healthy and I'm trying to limit the alcohol as each event bar one is on a work night and a hangover really isn't good.

Thanks, I've got my own system which does the same thing de1amo but in greater detail and personalised with all the formulae calibrated as close as possible to my actual results. I've always found the fitness websites much too generous with their calorie burn numbers for me (unfortunately!), plus I like to keep a lot more data & stats than any normal person ;).
