Hes being a bit of a !!!! now victory. Even i couldnt hold all of that for this long! (and im the queen of never submitting!)

Has he not got a job where he can fund some of this holiday too?

or is he getting bullied at school and hes letting out all his anger on you? Sounds like theres something more going on than the fact he hasnt got what other kids have got.

    Mrs T here!!--i like it!!
Only my mother frightened me more than Maggie and i grew up a disciplined lad.
İ love parents who cant wait for their kids to go back to school after holidays because they are 'doing' their head in-just think of a multitude of them in a classroom. İf i derserved a good smack when i was young i knew i would get it from my mother and took it on the chin!--its another liberal policy that takes the power of the smack out of the parents armoury-i feel sorry for you in your struggle with these kids--i would let your husband at him Victory!!-it will be a bad day if Turkey ever join the EU (and ruin the kids)
    mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.

i would assume it would be left wing policy that took away the right to smack, liberals are libertarians and they believe the state should !!!! off and mind its own business when it comes to how people live there lives, well the pure ones anyway like me :)

i expect the childline has some tales to tell-can you imagine the adolescent stories that get reported to them-i would just remove all his luxuries to make it really hit home-if his telephone is so bad he doesnt need one-i expect he has a pc and tv in his bedroom-just take all the plugs or leads off-remove all his goodies and let him stew til he shows respect and drip feed them back to him.

Aww be nice, this is still Victory's baby we're talking about. You'll come thru it eventually babes, so will he, and love u more for doing it. Not gonna advise u cos i think ure doing all the right things.

Is there any parent who hasn't been through a rough time with teenagers? Had it terrible with my girl, my boy is almost 14 and can see the hormones starting to kick in, getting the wee snappy comment in occasionally. Then always comes and apologises about 5 minutes later.

Keep at it Victory, it aint easy hon. Now wouldn't it be good if kids came with an instruction manual, a volume control and a standby mode :)

alliwantistosave My smileys are from this site. Someone on the card making thread gave me the link. They're fab but when you go to use them you have to right click on them, go into properties and copy the URL then post them here as a picture - there might be an easier way but that's what I do.dance.gif

Mazza love your comment about the kids manual, volume control and standby button.

Victory, do you have a younger adult that could mediate for you and your son - the reason I'm saying this is because my sis had a nightmare time with my neice and she used to see if I could talk some sense into her when she went off on one because I was much nearer her age. I could simpathise with my sis but talk to my neice in her language and try to make her see sense, she seemed to relate to it better. Feel free to tell me to butt out.

You butt in all you like:D the mediator would be my sis, who is a lot older than me and obviously him but has a very calm, easy going, logical, reasoning outlook on life and how it should be and so far she has helped all the way on this one but when I asked him to talk to her he stormed out of the room:D

One question though, he brought home all the EMA info pack, it states clearly what salary you can earn before you are entitled to the £30 a week and if all his people are surely that makes his parents on some kind of benefits in the low income bracket to qualify and so how come they are all getting it but according to son earn less than us but can afford school trips to USA , laptops, £500 for xmas presents:D
