Well I was "oop north" yesterday and it was very warm and sunny - well I presume it was warm cos I was indoors looking out at the sun all day!!
Diet has gone completely to cack this week so I am surprised to report a -1LB LOSS
tho' god knows how. Had a serious chocolate attack while sitting around Glasgow airport waiting for my (delayed) flight home, made myself feel better by flushing it out with sparkling mineral water rather then diet coke, tho I know I'm only kidding myself. I was up at 4am and got home at 9pm no wonder my metabolism is all over the place, so tired today and another crack-of-sparrows start tomorrow in prospect. To top that, my first phone call of the day yesterday was to inform me that a work colleague had died at the weekend, I've only been here a few weeks but OMG I seem to be attracting bad news at the moment. On my drive in this morning some s**t in a truck nearly took me out at a roundabout - going all around the outside to turn right forcing me up the roundabout itself and all around again to get off at my exit. What a tool, with any luck he'll become a statistic soon. Ugh - what a crap state of mind to be in
Anyhoo, good luck with the WI's this week everyone

de1amo would you not try orange juice from a carton?
eric sending positiveness to you!! You know you can lose weight without exercise, likes of WW, SW etc all promise you to lose weight on diet alone.
We had brown rice last night, I've never had it before, thought it would taste horrible, but it was surprisingly nice. Had more texture than white rice. We had it with chicken in black bean and red pepper sauce and brocolli.
I have started on WW yoghurts the vanilla/toffee pack. Vanilla has 50cals toffee has 48cals. That is surprisingly low for a yoghurt, and I'm worried they are full of sugar...must check the label tonight !!

turks dont really go for bought fruit juices and i seldom see it on sale-they squeeze juice if they drink it-otherwise they are coke addicts!
i was reading today about the benefits of nuts and lowering cholesterol levels--nuts are widely available as a valuable source of protein here as people dont tend to eat much meat-i will give them another go and this time try almonds as they are less stodgy than peanuts which upset me before-many nuts have anti cancer properties too-my father has cancer and i am aware of the family history!mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.0 -

I met Joe Swash yesterday! Who? Never heard of him --- sounds like a made up name to me.
Granny: hows things? You seem a bit quiet on here lately?
Still here Vix, but have been busy working (semi-retired, not!) and eating a lot.Eric_Pisch wrote: »Honestly no, my condition is noticeably deteriorating, i feel crap all the time, I am seeing a consultant on Thursday so will know the worst then.
Its making me very down and scared ... no desire to eat anything bad but its near impossible to lose weight without even a sensible exercise program..
Lots of love to you Eric. Hope your news is better than you anticipate oin Thursday.0 -
Missy have you thought that your last 2kg maybe muscle gained from all this exercise--when i get that close to goal weight i wont be holding my breath-
No, unfortunately it's fat! :rotfl: A female doing a serious weight training programme could only expect to gain about 5 kg in the first year of training and less thereafter. I'm neither in my first year nor doing much in the way of weights/resistance, so any muscle gain for me would be negligible.
As Victory and other maintainers will no doubt know, we have to be able to 'reel in' any gains so it's a bit frustrating when weight that's come off before, is more stubborn the next time, even when using similar methods that worked in the past (for me as recently as last Oct-Dec I lost 2kg). Never mind - will just have to keep trying!
Eric I'm really sorry that you're going through whatever this is, but it is definitely possible to do this with diet alone - lots of people on here have lost large amounts of weight with minimal or no exercise, whether that's for medical reasons or just personal preference. Keep the faith, and good luck for Thursday.0
