BB - I've done loads of research on diets for the menopause, there's almost too much written about it and its all contradictory, so I gave up. The symptoms aren't too bad at the mo, its been worse than this before, so I can live with it for now. I think my current diet of no processed foods etc (when I stick to it :o) might help since I dont feel nearly as bad as I did when I was a stone heavier than now. If I go to my GP she'll probably just put me on HRT which I want to avoid like the proverbial (too many side effects); I've gone off her since she suggested that my 14yo DD went on the pill to make her TOTM's settle down  (needless to say we ignored that advice)
that's disapointing, though I should be suprised given my experience with food and other health probs. (I'm secretly hoing that I'll sail through the menopause with no probs as I have already paid my dues wih enough carp symtoms. )
Yes, I can imagine you were not too chuffed at your GP offering the pill to a 14 yr old.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

:mad::mad: sold peter kay tickets on ebay, should have known too good to be true, buyer is only on 1 count and keeps emailing me that he has no paypal or cheque book and can only pay by having my bank details:eek: as if I am going to give a stranger all my bank details when paypal is a perfectly acceptable payment but oh no he keeps on that he will pay that he could pay via postal order so I have opened a non paying bid against him, yes as quick as the 4th day because he is messing me about big time, got rid of them to fund the car troubles, we always do that, something has to go to afford something else and that was it but he cannot see he has bid, won, pay up NOW:D

Went to see Jim Davidson last week, he was really crude, rude and funny, we were in the front row so he spoke to me or rather used me to get a laugh a few times:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Victory, we sell on ebay a fair bit and a bank transfer is the best way to get paid! The money goes directly into your bank account, there are no paypal fees to pay and there is no way the buyer can do anything other than pay into your account. It is certainly our preferred method of receiving payments! If they pay with paypal it had been known for people to say their items havn't arrived or were not as described and paypal will take the money back off you and refund them - even if they have already left feedback saying they received it!:(

Just a flying visit to say on my weigh in day...which is today I lost 2lbs! See how that works out when I do my weigh in for the chart on Wednesday.
I have stopped my snacking in the evening, that's when I'm at my worst! Ususally while I'm making tea, I'm in the biscuit tin! Hahaha.
But I am proud to say that since tuesday when I properly started recording my calories I haven't had any snacks in the house, I've been getting in, having tea and that is it!!
Victory I'm jealous you're going to see Jimmy Carr! His laugh cracks me up!!

Thanks for that, must have misunderstood, I felt that he was after my bank details and then cleans me out:D just very nervous of him and what he keeps saying that he does not have paypal, he does not have a chq book the only way he can pay is via my bank account

I cant lift my duvet off me in the morning, I have to slide out, my shoulders/wrists and elbows are too painful/weak first thing.

I am so with you on that one wherever the duvet lies in the night that is where it stays because it is too heavy for me to lift over myself, just can't do it, , friday is duvet wash day and I prefer to leave it to the eldest to do, take them off is bad enough, those damn corners, let alone putting them back on again, I decided not only could I empty the 2 fish tanks and re fill cleaning the fish but I could also strip and re make 3 duvet beds so that eldest did not moan at me I am treating him like a slave:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: so they have been done and now I could sit in a corner and rock with the pain, my left hand will not even open out it has become so swollen, just because I wanted to get it down, the rest of the day is absolutely crippling doomed:D

retiredlady so what do I do? Just give him the sort code? the account number? Via email? Is that safe or via ebay? I have opened up an unpaid item dispute already because he keeps bothering me with his what he can't do, one thing he hasn't done is pay me:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Eek victory, I would be wary of doing that too. Are there any other bidders? Surely they shouldn't be bidding on things if they don't have a paypal account? I only accept Paypal when selling. Unless they message me beforehand and then perhaps I'll accept a cheque. Remember paypal gives protection too, that's why u pay a wee bit in fees.

Still not got round to stepping on the scales, TOTM again and just so bleeding tired. Coming home from work and just collapsing on sofa for a couple of hours, it's like my get up and go has got up and run like .....

Was gonna wear my shorts to work today as the forecast said it would be nice and sunny. Always take a pair of jeans just in case. Got as far as the car and decided it was far too cold, so was in the process of pulling my jeans on outside the car when a British Gas engineer pulls up laughing at me, turned out it was one of the customers from work, how embarassing :rotfl: Had to assure him that I wasn't flashing my fat 4$$ in public, and promise him that i had my shorts on :rotfl:

Victory - perhaps in the future you an include in your listing that you only accept payment via paypal, so not to bid if you do not have an account. You can do this - I have seen it.

I would be wary too Victory. Hope your hand is feeling a bit better now.

BB It wasn't me last night - although by the time I got to bed I would have been aswell there counting. OH always takes a holiday on the day after the elections so he can sit up all night and watch it and last night he asked if he could watch tv in the bedroom as I sleep like a log anyway. Seemed like a good idea until I got engrossed (still watching even after he fell asleep). So he was all cosy in bed this morning when I had to drag my sorry a$$ to work :(.
