I have to sit on Tiddles to do her toe nails.. I just leave them until they are like talons as they seem easier to do. Getting cream on her verucca is impossible.. she kicks and screams and bites and spits.. so I sit on her to do that too.. I am mean! lol
Mine fall constantly and I hate summer when they are wearing dresses to school they never have any skin on their kneesAnd all their socks are blood stained lol
It was really nice taking Jacob for shoes.. we picked a design and they fit him.. he had a choice of 4 pairs of shoes.. unheard of for my lot!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Hi. Sorry if anyone was worried, I neded time to try and make sense of things.
The neuro is sure I have an inoperable astrocytic tumour. I have to have a biopsy done to see what grade.
There is a build up of fluid on my brain which is why my balance is bad and I keep slurring my speech. I have steroids to try and reduce that. Once that is improved I have to go in for a biopsy.
I am going on Monday for another MRI but using dye this time to find out if it's secondary or primary.
I have never felt so scared or alone in the whole of my life:(Sealed Pot Challenge Member NO. 853 :j0 -

Thank you, you have all been so supportive so far. I feel like I have been hit by a truck at the moment.
DH hasn't been to bad, he has just gone really quiet. His Dad died of cancer last year so it's difficult for him.Sealed Pot Challenge Member NO. 853 :j0 -
Hi Sandy, a lurker here. I registered to drop you a line, I’ve been watching out for you since your appointment.
I’m so sorry to hear your news.
You have a lot of support here on the Forum. It looks like you have some lovely virtual friends who will be there to support you with whatever you need, whenever you need it and I'm sure at times when you won't even realise you need it.
Lots of love and hugs

Feeling scared is totally understandable!!
The fluid is, hopefully fixable.. and looking at the tumours there appear to be 2 types it could be as the others usually occur in children. One is nasty the other is ok.. well, as ok as these things can be.
You have all of us so you don't need to feel alone.. if you fancy a visit come on over.. there are several of us in Hull, we are only 45 minutes away and can accomodate you for a while.. my house is probably not a good place it being easter and all.. but you are most welcome!
Talk to OH, I know he appears uninterested but he will have to rally sooner or later and he may just become a knight in grubby armour.. tell him when you need a hug or need to cry and rant and rave.. it is all part of the process!!
Sending you strength, healing vibes and 'not-so-nasty'-tumour wiggles ~~~~~~~~~LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Of course you'll feel like you've been hit by a truck. It's natural. And it's natural for DH to go quiet and pensive.
I've looked things up on t'internet and all is not yet lost. Seems there are slow benign ones as well as fast nasty ones. You need to try and rest tomorrow so you're fit for the dye thing on Monday.
Have you family that you need to tell? Or can you get DH to do that?I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Sandy, thanks for posting - we've all been looking out and thinking of you. Sending you big (((((Sandy))))) hugs - you have all our support on here and we'll all help you through whatever is ahead of you. The MRI with dye will give them some more clues as to what's going on. Can DH come with you on Monday or do you have to go on your own? Thinking of you.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0

Ive had a manic week again, working full time, running round the house feeding child, dog and babysitter (and not in that particular order!) then going out at teatime for traning course. In the mean time Im also trying to organise my new car! The old one is just eating good money after bad, and its now tax and MOT time, so its going before it costs me anymore flipping money.
We all went out of something to eat and a few beers after work yesterday, so I have a head like scrambled eggs today and let the kids run riot (Im babysitting for my friend) so Im starting the list again - cos trust me.....it needs it- at least the kids were happy
Im off to watch New Moon - again
See you all tomorrow xSometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying

sandy - so sorry to hear your news. You know we'll all be here with support, advice (which you are free to ignore, but as it will all be conflicting there is bound to be something helpful in there!), and to listen to you if you need to talk things through. Sadly there are plenty of flyladies here who are going through similar experiences, and can offer advice based on their own experiences.
I must be tough for both you and DH. Maybe his behaviour before was due to the 'if I pretend it isn't happening it'll go away' school of thought...0
