Thanks, will try tea tree. The blighters mutate so they can't be seen in fair hair. Just done the thing amid much screaming and a heartbreaking wail of "mummy I want to be goood". need a lie down!

Greenbee you anywhere near sunningdale/sunningwell? Berks or hants, I forget.

Oh come do DS3 for me.. and he needs strimming!! He looks like a sheep and he is terrified of the clippers.. and won't let scissors near him11 i usually pin him to the chair and just do it!

    Well done Master W!
Well done on your 15 mile walk 1 step
Greenbee, what a lovely Easter present from your Dad!

I have spent the day writing and am mentally exhausted but have seen of another couple of blokes. I did the absconding solicitor today which took ages, particularly as his wife has just as colourful a past as he had! The other one took longer than expected too as I found out one of his granddaughters was involved in a murder case so I had to research more on that.

But I'm slowly getting through it. I had hoped to get this almost final draft finished by Easter but that's unlikely. I have now set myself a deadline of my holiday in May. That way I can take a printed copy with me and force NN to read it. It WILL be finished this year..

Right, dinner nearly ready and I'm going to crash in front of the TV. I'll see how I get on with earth hour but it might be tricky

I'm near Newbury/Basingstoke/Winchester but work near Sunningdale...
Shame you are not closer Greenbee or I'd pop around for a nosey. I'm not great with planting plans, my garden is more evolving. How long would it take from mine to yours?
Well I can get to the shell petrol station at Chiswell Green in 45 minutes but I don't think that technically that should be possible :o:p

I still hate buying shoes because I know they won't fit, and the ones I like will not stay on because of my narrow feet and heels and if they do fit they look awful due to my barge like proportions :o. I still have palpitations at the prospect of going into Clarks. My lovely mother still laughs with a tinge of nervous hysteria if you mention me and shoes.
I hated shoe shopping as a child and for years and years as I have short fat feet. However, I have worked out how to do it now, and have a fantastic collection of shoes (that are too big at the moment as all my weight loss is from my feet apparently, but they'll be fine in the summer!) which see me through the fat days as they add interest to boring suits

Greenbee - happy to post the useful books I have to you if you like? I have lots of pretty picture ones as well but the two I mentioned have specific ideas for gardens and ways to adapt them to different shapes. I would love to go walking with you but you are such a way from me and I am only free during school hours sadly. Weekends [STRIKE]I am chained to the children[/STRIKE] belong to the family apparently :roll eyes: Yours to mine is c180 miles I think from doing DH fuel claims.
I'd love to borrow the books if you're sure you can let them out of your sight... I know how you feel about books ;):D but I promise they'd be returned to you when your DH isn't looking... and if I'm ever up in your part of the world during school hours I'll hold you to the walk...

Better go - EARTH HOUR IS STARTING!!!

Right, I've compromised on earth hour. I've turned off all the houselights and have lit candles but the oven is still on cos my dinner's still cooking and the fish tank lights are still on, the aerogarden light is still on. And the computer is still on!

But I've joined in in my own sweet way

  • Just popping in to say I've been on holiday this week so no flying done here. The lady who owned the cottage emailed after we left to say "Thank you so much for leaving the cottage A1. It is very much appreciated." It's all due to the flying training I've done here. :j Thank you PigPen and co!!
  • I'm doing my earth hour when DD goes to bed otherwise I can't turn everything off!

Pigpen My older cousin suffers from curly toes but they were unable to oporate as the tendon was far too short to do anything with. He also has mega problems with his toes nails. We have to take him to the chiropadist to get them cut and before she even starts he passes out ! Ditto if he sees or thinks of blood. He fell recently on his hols and wouldn't let the hospital take bloods so we still don't know what caused the fall although he is prone to falls because of his feet. With his learning difficulties it's impossible to get him to understand and far too stressful to force him through it. we have had one break through he allows me (and only me) to put his ear drops in.

On the flying front I've decluttered some profiteroles and sat on my but watching the wizard of OZ while cross stitching!
