sandy - he's a man. They aren't good at this stuff. It'll take him time to work out how to deal with it, and in the meantime you aren't on your own. There are 200-odd flyladies here for you.0

Hi all, I am in again this week, hoping for better than 1 star this week though. Monday is my long working day but am off working tomorrow so will do Mondays and Tuesdays then.
Thank you to Soapie, Pigpen and Toots for all your hard work, hugs to all who need them x0 -
I waited until the kids were in bed and told him, he went really quiet then said "This is the last thing I need, I've got enough stress at work" Then he went out to the pub.
That was not the reaction you needed and you must have felt so awful. I don't want to make excuses for him, but he may come back in a little while with a more supportive attitude, once he's had time to think. You deserve him to be there for you. Sending you huge hugs.0 -
I just keep thinking what have I done to deserve all this:(Sealed Pot Challenge Member NO. 853 :j0

too tired to think.. sending hugs for Sandy. He may just be worried and unable to show it because he is a man and they are all freaks! Keep talking to him you can't keep everything tucked in. When you move to York, I'm only over in Hull so not too far if you need an escape
Valli my BP is low too.. so I often feel a bit light headedLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
sexy hugs and loads of positive vibes for you - I think I might just be awake!!!! ditto what soappie said - you have nothing to lose and the governor is not the problem so be precise and honest.
Sandy (((hugs))) a lot of it will be shock more than anything - he will have been hoping that there was nothing wrong - men are not good at handling stressy things like illness (apologies to all men whocan handle it - but you are a minority) and if he is having a hard time at work then he will think he is cracking up. when he comes home sit and talk to him - his first priority is to you his wife and partner - be sure to tell him how frightened you are - this is not the time to be strong and coping or play the good little wife and not trouble him - TELL HIM HOW YOU FEEL and that you need him.
he will come round but from now on you need to include him in everything about your illness even if you are going to be phoning about something while he is at work - you need to tell him so that he feels a part of it too and then he might realise how its affecting you- you should even get him to go with you to see your neuro doc - he also needs to hear it first hand to understand how bad or good things are. thats my tuppence worth on it pet and for goodness sake stop thinking its your fault - its nobody's fault and thats why i said earlier get angry with the thing inside you - it might help you cope a bit.
toots xx

MRSCHAOS It has got easier in some rooms ( The living room being one) but in other rooms eg the teens bedrooms, i have got more chance of getting small pox than i have a star!,:o
H XXXX"When stuck in a river, it is best to dive and swim to the bank yourself before someone drops a large stone on your chest in the attempt to hoosh you there" Eeyrore :rolleyes:0 -
Sandy, have just caught up and sending the hugest squidgiest hugs I can to you. Men are definately from Mars. I am sure he didnt mean it how it came out, and that he will be supportive. I hope that once he gets his head round it, he will be there for you every step of the way. Trouble is, women are the strong ones, and men arent good at it. He will come through for you and as Greenbee said, you have 200 odd flybables rooting for you. Are you okay at the moment? Keep posting on here with us. Perhaps we can focus on the move to keep you occupied. Tell us about your new house for example - are you looking forward to that?
Our weekend didnt quite go to plan - DS had an asthma attack on Saturday night, which fortunately we eventually got under control, but it wasnt til 3 in the morning that I felt comfortable enough to go to sleep without needing to keep an eye on him. At least we didnt need to take him to hospital, but this is the worst one he has had for a little while. We have been reducing his medication, so that may be a factor. So all the decorating and flying went totally out of the window. Never mind. Kept him off with me today, but he goes back to school tomorrow, so I get some peace and quiet! So will fly tomorrow. Fortunately BD was only been lurking, so I have dealt with it quite well.
Just got a tea party for 15 on Sunday to get through! Need to get all 5 stars this week to make the house respectable!!!
Congratulations to Rach! Gorgeous scan picture, I am most envious!
Lamewolf and Lady L, both of you seem to be using up too many spoons, slow down! (and enjoy your geeking!)
Toots, how lovely to see you back, and thank you for your lovely messages of support. I love reading your words of wisdom for everyone, they are so true and wise.
Sexymouse, I agree re the exit interview, tell them as it is, factually - most of the governers assume that the head is doing a good job, they would be horrified to hear how you have been treated.
Ishtar, that is a very drastic way to lose the weight, but I am sure you feel good at the result! Hope your mum is doing okay, you are both in my prayers.
Happy Birthday for MissHiggerty, well done the the U16 golfer, and good wishes and hugs, etc to all! Will post my lists tomorrow - the only thing I have done today which can vaguely be called flying is getting my cat out of next doors shed - Well, I was decluttering for her, wasnt I!
