Congrats to Rach...I knew too, having read other parts of the boards...loving all these ickle flybabies...:T...;)

Sandy, I'm recovering from Lyme disease....different league from what your going through hun but serious and devastating.

My hubby refused point blank to acknowledge anything, he thought I was going to die so he didn't want to know. I begged, asked nicely, shouted, whined...for months....everything really to get him alongside, he refused...he just couldn't cope. It was only on my second visit to my specialist that he agreed to come with me and only then did he begin to talk about my illness. All he wanted to know was that I was going to continue to get better.

I won't say it didn't do my head in but being bluddy minded as I am, :D I figured that when I got better then I would wear him down with my persistence in him acknowledging my condition.

He has, it's all ok now, in fact the downside is he gets very over protective which is a little late in the day now.

I'm just telling my story hun so you know you are not alone in all this journey you are travelling.

Sadly, some of my friends here are walking their own road of poor health but as I've said before collectively we can support you through the dark and scarey days as well as the better, brighter ones.:A

Don't be scared hun, we're all here....the bad news, I'm in Hull too, :D a few streets from Piggers...so expect visits from us if you're in York...I was there just today funnily enough.

    doing what Triker...anything interesting?

Men! When DD1's ME relapsed seriously - my sister pointed out to OH that I too would need help - I was in bits at the time.......and he promised faithfully to help.........he then became the cricket club treasurer:mad:!

Help me? OH? All he does is moan..........

    Hi all..

Sandy - Huge hugs to you..I'm abit rubbish with words, unlike Toots who is fabulous & always knows the right thing to say & how to put it, but I'm here & thinking of you.
    Rach - Congratulations!!!
Sexymouse - Good luck for the morning,
    Toots & LL - Hope you're both doing ok...(((hugs)))
Jinks - Not sure if you've got t'internet at the mo but hope you're doing ok..

Now, flying this week is going to be a challenge! I've never had a bathroom (or anything else come to that) completely refitted...I can't believe the mess & brick dust!! Its everywhere!! & as good as the plumber seems to be at his job, he has no idea of the concept of maybe wiping your wet shoes on one of the 2 mats I've got.. blooming wet mucky footprints everywhere!! I admit I've a bit of a problem with shoes indoors anyway, if I had my way everyone would take them off outside!

So I think its going to be damage limitation until he's finished which'll be either Saturday or Monday ..Nonetheless it'll be fab once its done & I'm sure I'll very quickly forget the mess we're in right now!

Rach huge congratulations, wonderful news! ***waves to little one*** thank you so much for sharing that

Well today went very very well, a few 'issues' including parents from another area getting plastered & mouthy on the train but conference went very well. Got chance to have a chat with EB about services etc which was very productive too. I did pass over some stuff from different groups I was given & highlighted some concerns with PCTs (inc my signed petition about Lyme's disease to hand over to the PM directly :D as promised Triker with some other things for his attention - you have to use these oppotunities) A very passionate guy which shines through, especially after meeting some of the parents who were a reason why he wanted Aiming High put in.

Will try to catch up but got 3 appointments tomorrow, eeeek!!!

(((hugs))) for anyone who needs one, from a brief read that would be quite a few of you xx Special ((hugs)) for sandy, even if I can't add much to the wise words you've had we're all thinking of you x SM good luck, we're all behind you in that room remember.
One day I might be more organised...........

Sexymouse sending you lots and lots of positive vibes for tomorrow morning. Hope it goes all okay.

Froddy, sorry to jump in on your question to Rose, just to say that I have offered to take her down to Chichester as I am driving past there on the way, if she wants to come that is. Although not sure if you got my PM Rose.
Sandy, don't worry about OH hon he will come round. As everyone else has said he is probably doing a typical man thing. They do a tortoise act and just retreat into their shell then come out when it is safe and they can handle things on their terms. My DH was the same when I was diagnosed with the depression the first time, he thought it was a personal thing against him for some reason. It wasn't until he was with me when they admitted me to hospital that it sunk in I needed him around. He still has his stubborness when he fails to see what needs doing but he is far more supportive of me and took it in his stride when I was diagnosed with ME, bipolar and BPD. What I'm saying is give him time hon and I am sure he will be there for you when needed. Oh while I remember did you get my PM, email should be with you tomorrow hopefully.

Ooops now I have waffled away, sorry didn't mean to do that.

Just finished watching FlashForward, going to catch up on a couple of other programmes then head off to bed.
