sandy - he's a man. They aren't good at this stuff. It'll take him time to work out how to deal with it, and in the meantime you aren't on your own. There are 200-odd flyladies here for you.

I just keep thinking what have I done to deserve all this:(

Sandy. As greenbee and our wonderful Toots have pointed out - he's a bloke. They have different thought processes. [STRIKE]Most of which are driven by an extra appendage they have between their legs[/STRIKE] (ooops - please ignore that little diversion).

It will have come as a shock to him just as much as it did to you hun. But, being a bloke, he's retreated to the hostelry to be in the company of his fellow alpha males while he cogitates quietly in the process of getting on the outside of some hoppy (or malt, or grain) brew.

And you've not done ANYTHING to "deserve this" as you put it. I'm quite sure of that. These ups and downs are, well, life Jim, as we know it .....(misquote from an old song there).

There are no assurances or guarantees in the time we have on this earth. We just have to make the most of what we've got and revel in it.

At this point in time, you have a home and the prospect of a new home that you can make your own. You have children that care about you and that you care about. One suspect scan isn't going to take all that away overnight. Stay strong love, and face it head on and it will be resolved xxx

    Hugs Sandy xx

Congratulations Rach I'm so happy for you!

I've only skimmed the thread, as I'm so far behind so hopefully I've not missed anything

After all the online shopping hassle i went to the PO and then my sister decided to come round! So while waiting for her to come, I washed up and cleaned the kitchen.
We had a lovely time discussing all our craft projects!

This is the appeal I told you about earlier, from a woman who has a shop on Folksy - if you have any teddies or small cuddly toys you would like to donate please contact me and I will let her know
"As you may know, I donate £1 from every item sold in my Folksy shop to a wildlife charity called the London Wildcare Trust (www.londonwildcaretrust.co.uk). I also volunteer at its wildlife hospital one day a week.
Anyway, the springtime baby animals are starting to arrive now – tiny fox cubs, baby squirrels, ducklings and many more who have been orphaned or abandoned by their parents.
While they’re being treated and recovering in the hospital (ready for release back into the wild) they’re given ‘surrogate mums’ to snuggle up to, in the form of cuddly toys. These are a real comfort to them, and make them feel that bit less scared in an unfamiliar environment.
If you’re on Facebook, you can see a very cute example here: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=178575&op
Anyway, the bad news is that there’s only one teddy left! Arrgh! Last year’s intake snuggled up to them rather vigorously, and they got so chewed up that they eventually had to be thrown away.
So, here’s my appeal: Does anyone have any old cuddly toys that they/their children no longer need? Any tucked up in the attic gathering dust?
They definitely need to be machine-washable (to prevent the spread of infection). However, it doesn’t matter if they’re dog-eared – fox cubs don’t seem to mind that :).
They also need to be roughly 10-30 cm tall (big enough not to swallow, but small enough not to fill up the whole pen!). The hospital will remove any dangerous bits (like button eyes) before passing them on to the babies.
If anyone does have any old cuddlies you’re willing to post over to me, please PM me and I’ll send you my personal address. I will make sure I refund all your postage costs via PayPal, as soon as I receive your package.
As I said, I visit the hospital every week, so I’ll carry any donations with me the next time I go."

Congrats to Rach...I knew too, having read other parts of the boards...loving all these ickle flybabies...:T...;)

Sandy, I'm recovering from Lyme disease....different league from what your going through hun but serious and devastating.

My hubby refused point blank to acknowledge anything, he thought I was going to die so he didn't want to know. I begged, asked nicely, shouted, whined...for months....everything really to get him alongside, he refused...he just couldn't cope. It was only on my second visit to my specialist that he agreed to come with me and only then did he begin to talk about my illness. All he wanted to know was that I was going to continue to get better.

I won't say it didn't do my head in but being bluddy minded as I am, :D I figured that when I got better then I would wear him down with my persistence in him acknowledging my condition.

He has, it's all ok now, in fact the downside is he gets very over protective which is a little late in the day now.

I'm just telling my story hun so you know you are not alone in all this journey you are travelling.

Sadly, some of my friends here are walking their own road of poor health but as I've said before collectively we can support you through the dark and scarey days as well as the better, brighter ones.:A

Don't be scared hun, we're all here....the bad news, I'm in Hull too, :D a few streets from Piggers...so expect visits from us if you're in York...I was there just today funnily enough.
