I did get both my sons school admission results today though, DS1 is going to my first choice school:j really glad about this as they have the same team of counsellors and his current school speak highly of the special needs teaching.
However, DS2 has not got his first choice school, but second choice and am now unsure whether to keep him at this allocated school. This school is good and has good feedback from parents, but my first choice school is the one my ds1 currently goes to. :think::think::think:.
I think i need to sleep on it tonight and decide what to do, their is a lot to think about - ofsted reports, travelling time, both finish at the same time, whether his nursery friends are going to this school.......
I dont know!!!!!! sorry to ramble on but oh doesnt get it, i spoke to him about it and he just said he dont care what school he goes to - typical bloke eh!!!!

Hi all
Hope everyone is ok, special hugs and thoughts to sandy. you must tell DH - like it or not it's his job to support you!
Well, time for me to (as Soappie would say) 'fess up to why I've not been around so much/managing much flying recently.......
I'm 12 and a bit weeks pregnant, some of you know already (and more probably suspect!) but I didn't want to announce it on here until a) family all knew and b) we knew things were going ok. We had the 12 week scan today (a big fancy one at king's college hospital, just standard cos of where I live), which was amazing - we got to see the baby for almost an hour as had to go back in 3 times as it was either lying the wrong way or jumping around too much for the final measurement!
I'm so excited and happy now (plus a bit scared!) - still v tired and nauseous and a bit scared about telling work (finally got my letter extending my job last week!). So please add me to the 'carrying a flybaby' list!
Congratulations!!!!!xxx:tongue:Mum to 2 cheeky boys2011 will be my year!!0 -

could you please get your crystal ball out again and let me know what I need to do about it? (I'm assuming that it'll be something like get out of the office and meet a few people
)
Suppose I should pack up and head to the supermarket, then the gym (possibly) then home0 -

Watch out for pregnant women who don't appreciate catching chicken pox and nearly dying. There tend to be more around nurseries. I was one of them.
Chickenpox is worse in adults anyway, my uncle ended up very very ill but it was nothing to do with being pregnant it was due to him being 43!! but if they have already been exposed to her what is the point avoiding them when it is so much less contagious than it was before?Very few people get it as adults anyway as most people are sensible enough to inflict it on their parents as children.. I had 4 with it all at once (2 weeks after DS2 gave it to half the class) If nursery staff were that concerned they would ask for the vaccine before starting the job, perks of working with children you are exposed to allsorts. My sisters new job they asked her if she had had CP as a child. They are no longer contagious when scabbed over and minimally contagious once the spots erupt, it is incredibly contagious the week before and especially the 24 hours before so anyone who is going to get is already going to get it so there is nothing anyone can do about it!! and if she has been spotty a few days they will be gone in another few days.
It is hysteria around such childhood illnesses that mean adults have not been exposed to it as children and are susceptible as adults and putting their unborn children at risk if caught in the last trimester. I was greedy I had it twice. All my children had it before they were 7.. 3 were under a year old.. 1 got it from school, 1 got it from nursery, 1 got it from my sisters the other 5 got it from siblings.
The only illnesses mentioned in our school policies are D&V.. but they are usually taken ill at school anyway so anyone who is going to get it is already exposed.. it is just too messy to keep them at school
