Making the most of the good weather
Wash 1 on the line
Gardening coming along well
Kids playing outside
DH is trying to swop the toilet we had taken out of the shower room for the awful one in the main bathroom - it's not going exactly to plan.
Lunch done - I'll need to do a food shop again tomorrow as the supplies are some what low.
I still like the idea of a BBC Gardeners World Live Birmingham NEC meet.
I like this idea tooI've never been there. Is it easy to get to? When is it?
I found the baby bjorn the most uncomfortable torturous device ever.. the babys weight was heavily dumped on my shoulders leading to immense back pain.. as I said before.. I'd try a few before deciding on anything definite.
For ease of use and distribution of weight on the hips where it is meant to be carried found a wrap sling or the wilkinet best..gratefulforhelp wrote: »I'm sending you mine to look after. They're in the post.
Thats so odd, and just goes to show you should try them out with a sack of potatoes or something in them. I had a wilkinet with DD1 and it drove me mental, the ties kept slipping so it got lower and lower, and you couldn't get baby out of it and let them carry on sleeping, which you can with baby bjorn. Rach a warning that one size doesn't fit all!

I had a 2nd hand wilkinet and loved it. I would just lay the baby down in it when asleep just tucking the straps out the way.
Time for a cuppa and then swap wash 1 with wash 2 and more gardening:DThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Been for a walk... just eating lunch then need to get down to some serious flying as it is still gritty underfoot. Also need to ring the builder to tell him what a good job he's done, and take photos for my mum (and you lot)
ETA - dusty - the NEC is easy to get to by both car and train. Dates are 16-20 June. I might be able to make it if it's a weekend outing, but I'm not sure hex is allowed out on saturdays or sundays...0 -
Hi. Sorry if anyone was worried, I neded time to try and make sense of things.
The neuro is sure I have an inoperable astrocytic tumour. I have to have a biopsy done to see what grade.
There is a build up of fluid on my brain which is why my balance is bad and I keep slurring my speech. I have steroids to try and reduce that. Once that is improved I have to go in for a biopsy.
I am going on Monday for another MRI but using dye this time to find out if it's secondary or primary.
I have never felt so scared or alone in the whole of my life:(
Sorry to hear this Sandy and sending you positive vibes for Mondaytoottifrootti wrote: »sandy its good to see you posting - we have all been watching and waiting for your news - i am so sorry to see that there is a tumour there - now is the time to tell the family - even your Mum - you need extra support just now - you must give in and ask for their support no matter how annoying family can be -you get them rallied round - even if its just helping in the house - like you said Dh still has raw memories from last year and he will have been praying that it just wasnt happening to you. But he will be there for you but like all men he doesnt read minds so you will have to ask for his help.
You have to stop trying to be strong on your own - it takes tooo much effort and you need all your strength to fight this thing.
we will all be hoping and praying that its the lesser of the 2 evils and that the neuro andhis team will sort you out. Its going to be a long and difficult path at times but we will all be here to encourage you along the way - ONE STEP AT A TIME!!!! dont look too far ahead until you know what you are dealing with and what procedures are going to be used - there will be options along the way - for now as the others have said 'REST' and try to be calm for the MRI on monday - take each day as it comes angel.

Toots is good at putting into words what I am thinking but am rubbish at putting it on paper!Lady-Liberty wrote: »Morning All

Sandy I know you are struggling at the moment......I am a lot further down that path.....so if I can help in any way I will try, sometimes you just need to talk to someone who isn't closely involved with you but understands the emotions x

:rotfl::o True, and the NEC is no place to take children IMHO. Grand Designs was hyper ventilatingly busy midweek. I had planned on going on the Thursday or Friday but I could probably get DH to take the boys to the cinema in Birmingham or something if I applied enough blackmail . If anyone fancies a Barnsdale Gardens (Rutland) meet midweek I would be up for that too. It isn't that I sympathise with DH struggling to manage both boys or him stopping me from going btw, but the bit where I like the boys enough to not abandon them to his 'tender' ministrations.
Rach - I have minor back and shoulder problems and love the baby bjorn and hated slings because they really hurt me, DH too with his chronic problems was fine. Difficult isn't it? We also had a proper walking one for once they were over one that was great and fine on DH despite his problems. It is only since they have been to big for the carrier and old enough to have an opinion that we have a problem.
No further with my list, but the garden is looking tons better and the green bin is full yet again. I may even get the shredder out.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

wm on again, about to climb the irnong mountain, and
lady liberty what a kind and generous person you are.
I loved my Baby Bjorn too. Found it really comfortable and was great if you were going somewhere and couldnt be faffed with the buggy.
Huge hugs to Sandy, hope you are holding up ok, we are all here to lend and ear or a shoulder if you want. xxThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0
