We have got three of those domestos Plastic pinnies a blue one, yellow one and a pink one. My wife and I both wear them sometimes when cleaning
I have the blue one and the pink one missed out on the yellow one, they are good aprons though we use for the messier jobs around the house.0 -
I never used to be one for wearing a pinny but back in January this year my husband bought me an apron as one of my birthday presents. I have to say I wasn't really pleased with such a gift and I told my husband as much. He didn't see what my problem was, he has always worn an apron for cooking. In the last 2 or 3 months I have been wearing the apron he bought me and I have to admit I am converted it is so much better to just slip on my pinny do the cooking or whatever then when I am finished I can just take off again so much easier then getting changed and changed again. The pinny he bought me is a pvc coated one so it just needs a wipe down afterwards no washing.0

YES YES YES. I am an apron lover and always have one on when doing dishes, cooking or cleaning, it saves so many marks on clothes.
My absolute godsend it one my mum made for me and sent over from NZ where they are the norm. Its a peg apron which ties around the waist and has a pocket either side, its like a kangaroo pouch really for your pegs. It saves me from bending dowm to reach mine as I have a bad back and means I can bring them in to the house when finished with them and hang the apron up (super button hole in the mdlle of the waistband makes this easy, and the pegs stay out of the rain.WW Start Weight 18/04/12 = 19st 11lbsWeight today = 17st 6.5lbsLoss to date 32.5lbs!!!0 -
I have a PVC one and it is about 15 years old, I must admit I appear to be wearing it all the time for washing up, cooking, cleaning and bathing the kids. It saves my clothes from getting wet and dirty.
However I just realised how sad I am as I am wearing it now on my computer.
I need help and I am off to find aprons anonymous LOL0 -
Just seen this thread and Id want to say Id LOVE to have a couple of aprons. Trouble is I am a very large lady and no-one caters for my size. I havent been able to find anything to fit me properly, and I dont have the knowledge/skills to make one myself.
So, I have to make do with baggy clothes

Ikea aprons are very generous, and when Tchibo sell them, you'll find they are good for sizes too! They have a website, and do weekly specials like Aldi and Lidl do. My favourite though, is Ikea. The ones I've bought there have a single strip for the neck and ties which slides right throught, so they are adjustable. I hope that's clear enough? I'm not exactly small, either!
