However when I am at home wearing a pvc apron I too get hot and sweaty but I prefer that to getting my clothes ruined.

    I'll bet you do! :D

OMFG this thread is a mix of peeps who wear aprons to protect their clothing and peeps who get their kicks out of wearing aprons. Some of the posts here have made me :rotfl: Keep it coming it relieves the boredom.

Someone mentioned Cath Kidston earlier. Am I the only person in the world who is sick to death of CK stuff? No offence to the person who mentioned it but I am bored stiff of seeing turquoise backgrounds, big red cabbagey flowers etc on anything for the house. Flipping peg bags, coasters, tea towels, aprons, garden tools and so on  I know there are other patterns/colourways but I don't find any of them very inspriring to be honest.

Still she's making plenty of money from them!;)

I know what you're saying and I have to agree with you - I think it's been done to death now. Having said that, I do have 8 CK mugs hanging under one of my shelves in the kitchen :o, but that's it, I promise!

Just got back from a short break up in Northumberland, bought 2 new aprons while we were away to add to my collection. The first one is a RNLI apron with a picture of a lifeboat on it the second has a picture of Alnick castle on it. Both are PVC coated aprons and both seem to be of a nice quality. I have just counted the aprons I have in my spare wardrobe and there is 86 now including the 2 new ones I have just bought but not including the aprons my husband and I use day to day. I might stop collecting when I get to 100

Do I "use" an apron? Like a cotton one for drying the dishes? :p

I wear one. I have several, all PVC.

I guess that makes 88 in total, quite a collection, me and my wife just have 2 each. One each for cooking and one each for cleaning.

So, do you carefully consider which one you're going to wear each day? :D

The aprons in the wardrobe never get worn, we have a few aprons hung up in the kitchen which me and my husband use day to day. We have an apron each which we use for cooking and there are 3 or 4 older aprons that get used for cleaning.
