To help it climb higher on google, please google "Waggon and Horses Westhoughton" and then click on the MSE return which is currently on the second page.

Google works by looking at how many times a word is mentioned but it is also influenced by how many people click the link on google...

We paid for the food up front, i presume if i eat the food then didnt pay for it they could have me done???
Have i got any consumer rights, any other 'body' that would support my complaint or reply i should get after i complain from the company??

    I am so annoyed :(

IIRC as long as you provide a name and address, then you can leave without paying

i stated i was entitled to a reciept and they eventually provided me with hand written reciepts, which after a further request they put the establishment details on.

I would leave this part out of your complaint as you are not "entitled" to a receipt.

Have to say that I think this approach is extremely unfair. The OP has given their side of the story. For people to keep on repeating the name of the place in order for it to get bad reviews is extremely harsh.

OP can write to head office / franchisor and have the matter investigated.

Not suggesting that OP is not telling the truth but there are always 2 sides. For people on this website to take this at face value and attempt to discredit a business without any evidence or hearing the other side of the story is simply not on.

Try googling the business name and see the many other people who have posted reviews over the last couple of years of similar experiences

There only seems to be a few complaints duplicated/triplicated over several different sites.

Unfortunately people tend to vent when they have a problem, but not when they have had a good experience. I am willing to bet they have thousands of very happy customers.

I have been there too, on a visit to family who live reasonably close, and we had a similar, if not quite as bad, experience. Poor attitude and mediocre food sums it up really.

Are you sure??? If you pay for something then you should be able to get a receipt for it if you want one.

If you are paying VAT on it then it should be a receipt showing the VAT paid too.

I think the OP meant that they would need a receipt in order to complain... otherwise anyone could just pretend they had eaten somewhere and then complain about if afterwards.
